During the month of December, we continue our 90-Day Season of Sacrifice. To expand our ministry and reach more lives for Christ, we need your help and participation. Please join us during this season. We look forward to the many blessings that God has in store for us!
Sun, Dec 6 Host and Hostess Ministry The Host and Hostess Ministry will deliver hand-made lap quilts to sick and shut-in members in nursing homes and at home as part of our Christmas outreach. Interested Members can contact Lori Overton by December 6th with names of people that could use a lap quilt. She can reached at (347) 920-0908 or [email protected].
Sun, Dec 6-20 Church School Ministry The Church School Ministry is collecting new or slightly used clothing for children living in shelters. You may help by donating boys or girls slacks, sweaters, shirts, jackets, blouses, or skirts in sizes 2T-16. We will collect items from Dec 6-Dec 20. Each Sunday, a bin will be available in the Narthex for drop-offs. Thank you in advance for your support. Help us spread some holiday warmth to those in need. Welcome to the 2015-2016 Dance Season with the Harrigan Dance Ministry at Grace! Come and be a part of the Ministry seeking to spread God's Word through dance. The Women’s Ministry of Grace, will host the "Annual Christmas Children's Outreach Celebration", Saturday, December 12th, from 1:00pm - 4:00pm. Please help support this project as we reach out to help less fortunate children with a blessed Christ-mas. The Women's ministry will be in the Narthex after each service for the month of November to accept your donations. Your support is greatly appreciated. My Loved Ones,
Advent is a busy time in the life of our church as we prepare ourselves
spiritually to celebrate the birth of Christ. There are many activities
scheduled this month to celebrate Advent and Christmas. These
activities provide us an opportunity to fellowship, study, serve, and
worship together as a church family. I am asking each of you to join me
as we commemorate God’s gift to humankind in Christ Jesus.
We begin with the Children’s Outreach Christmas Party, then we
move to the Dramatic Arts Ministry's production of “The Nativity."
There are many ministry fellowships of the congregation and the
Grace Cathedral Choir’s offering of the Messiah. Let us not forget
the Candlelight Service on Christmas Eve, the Community Christmas
Dinner on Christmas Day, and finally our Watch Night Service.
I pray that we close out what has been a great year with fresh
enthusiasm and determination.
As we enjoy the spirit of the season, let us also remember our 90-Day
Season of Sacrifice. I pray that you will be led by God to join me in this
faith walk. Let us do all we can to secure our victory to the Glory of God.
