IMSOLUTIONS NEWSLETTER IMSolutions Annual Open Enrollment
Starting September 1st and lasting until September 30th 2018, IMSolu-tions is holding its Annual Open Enrollment Season for Health Insurance and Flexible/Dependent Care Account. What makes this so important this year is that effective October 1st IMSolutions will no longer be using Aetna’s HMS and PPO plans. In renewing our policy with Aetna, they had proposed alternative products with increased rates of 40% with higher deductibles and higher co-pays. Therefore, we have changed health carries to United Health Care effective October 1, 2018.
IMSolutions’ Broker John Mason has shopped around and found the company a very comparable and affordable Health Package. The new United Health Care plan designs will differ from the current plans (there are no HMOs). To read about the Health Care Options being provided, to include co-pay information as well as information on provid-ers and specialists. You can also visit https://www.uhc.com/find-a-physician to find your family physician/specialist.
Each full-time employee taking these benefits must complete the United Health Care Application. These forms are due to Yolanda Dockery NLT September 15, 2018 and can be found on the company intranet portal or in the e-mail sent to you from Yolanda Dockery.
Prime flex-Flexible/Dependent Care Spending Account If you are interested in the IMSolutions Flexible Spending Account, you will need to fill out the Flex Spending Account documentation found on the IMSolutions Intranet Portal and send back send back to Yolanda Dockery by September 15, 2018. Please note that you MUST put all de-pendent information (Name, SSN and DOB) on forms to pay for their prescriptions, Dr. appointments, glasses, etc.) The plan year for IMSolutions, LLC Flexible Spending Accounts renews on Monday, October 01, 2018.
The 2018 limits for the Flex Spending are as follows: Medical FSA: $2,650 annual limit on employee salary reductions (Prime Pay will mail you a Debit Card to pay for purchases) Dependent Care FSA: $5,000 annual limit (Dependent Care, forms will be submitted on line)
All required documents are updated and available to IMSolutions employees in the IMS Employee Portal for your access at any time. Please make sure to call or email Yolanda Dockery with any and all questions. On September 10th at 12 Noon, there will be a benefit briefing via conference call with our health broker John Mason, Aflac Representative, Willie Beverly and ANICO 401K Representative Brad Mercer. Dial in information will be provided.

IMSolutions: Take Me Out to the Ballgame: Part One
The Nationals just can't sustain any momentum in their attempt to get back into the National League playoff chase and that certainly didn’t change on September 18
th when IMSolutions attend-
ed the Washington Nationals vs Florida Marline game. Originally scheduled for the 21
st of July and subsequently cancelled due to torrential rain, IMSolu-
tions finally made it out to Nationals Park to take in one of two make up games that we will be at-tending. In a see-saw affair, the Marlins & the Nationals were neck and neck throughout the game. It was a tie ballgame going into the top of the 9
th and the Marlins scored one run to take a 5-4 lead into the
Nationals half of the 9th
inning. The Nationals didn’t disappoint the home crowd, they scored a run in the bottom of the 9
th to send the game into extra innings. Playing the 10
th inning however, Na-
tionals manager Dave Martinez, dealing with a shorthanded bullpen beset by injuries and the deci-sions to unload Brandon Kintzler and Shawn Kelley only a few days earlier, called for the intention-al pass with Short Stop JT Riddle at the plate, to load the bases. Washington Nationals pitcher Ko-da Glover however, could not keep the game tied as he gave up a 2-run single to Isaac Galloway securing a 7-5 victory for the Marlins who shut down the Nationals 1-2-3 in the bottom of the 10
th
inning. "It's not easy," Martinez said of handling his current bullpen, "but I'm confident in those guys." Florida pitcher Drew Steckenrider (4-2) blew the save but finished the ninth to pick up the win. Brett Graves recorded the final three outs for his first career save. Miami starter Wei-Yin Chen allowed two runs -- both on National’s Trea Turner's homer in the third -- and five hits in 5 2/3 innings. Angela Russell, who supports the USAID OAPA contract, stated, “I really enjoyed the baseball game! I was especially grateful that I could bring my daughter and granddaughter to share in this
event. My granddaughter loved it! She made a lot of new friends like Jason and Koo! Although we didn't win, the weather was great and so was the fellowship and collaboration! Thanks to the IM Solutions management team for making the necessary arrangements!” The game was exciting and provided a great atmosphere for the IMSolutions family to visit, collab-orate and get to know people they may not have known were a part of the IMSolutions family. Lar-izza Kaiser, who supports the Marine Corps Systems Command Admin Contract, attended the game with her family told me they had a fantastic time. Larizza said, “The Washington Nationals event was so much fun! My family and I had a great time and it was wonderful to see some of our colleagues and families together enjoying a night of baseball. I would like to thank the Wells family and IMSolutions for taking the time to put this event together for all of us. This event demonstrates IMSolutions' commitment to a work-life balance and the importance of family.” A big Thank You to Yolanda Dockery for not only scheduling the original game, but then working with the Washington Nationals after the rain out to make this a successful event. For those em-ployees participating in the second make-up game, we will be attending the Nationals vs. the Mets on September 22nd, with first pitch starting at 4:05 pm.

Linda has conduct herself in an exemplary fashion and amplifies profes-sionalism, collaboration, dedication and provides high quality service to signif-icantly update and reduce the P-Card backlog of applications, terminations, change of profiles, and approving official requests. Also, the Social Security Administration Client has highly commended and expressed their heart-felted appreciation for the on-going and additional one-on-one job training that is provided by Linda. Linda is a tremendous asset, valuable family member, and
a blessing to IMSolutions and we are better for it. Thank You for the hard work and dedication!
Ms. Lucy Hansen serves as an Administrative Assistant for the Marine Corps System Command (MCSC) Administrative and Operations (Admin/Ops) con-tract, supporting Deputy Commander for Resource Management (DC RM). Ms. Hansen joined the team on 30 April 2018 and has served in this capacity since. During this time, she has performed her duties in an exemplary manner as she has been tasked to support different entities as the Command may direct, or in the case of when the government lead(s) may be out of the office. This was the case not too long ago when both the Executive Assistant and the Administra-tive Officer were both out on leave as indicated in the email I received:
Mr. Barnett, I just wanted to send a quick shout out to say that Ms. Hansen held the fort down last week with no admin or executive assistance. Both myself and Ms. Erikson were on leave and Ms. Hansen was tremendously successful in providing Ms. Reese top notch support in addition to ensuring all of DCRM received excellent care. Kudo's to Ms. Hansen! -Nic Thanks for a job well done and keep up the great work!!!!

Potomac Senior High School 6th Annual Community Day and 5K Suicide Preven-
tion Walk Event
By Martin Langaigne
Many of you may or may not be aware, but my daughter, Kylee Martia Lan-gaigne was overcome by depression in 2015. Her family and friends are en-deavoring to carry on her vision and legacy to inspire "Youth to Understand their Purpose, Become Self-confident and to Reach
Their Full Potential." On Saturday, September 22, 2018, at 8:00AM, Po-tomac Senior High School is having their 6
th An-
nual Community Day and 5K Suicide Prevention Walk Event. They have graciously partnered with Kylee Kares to promote awareness and conduct a 5K Suicide Prevention Walk. Also, September is the National Suicide preven-tion month, and Potomac Senior High School is where Kylee graduated from in 2007. This is a dy-namic partnership with a cherished learning insti-tution and the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention – Virginia, for a great cause near and dear to our hearts. We invite everyone to come out and help us make these events successful. The events are free, but we request that you register via www.kyleekares.org to participate in the 5K Sui-cide Prevention Walk and to purchase your walk-day T-shirts. Perhaps you are unable to attend the events but would like to support us. Please use the link provided above to order your souve-nir T-shirts and/or to make a generous dona-tion. Also, any contribution made above the cost of T-shirts is tax deductible. We sincerely appreciate your support of Kylee's vision and legacy through KyleeKares.org, and we look for-ward to seeing you there. Please feel free to contact Diana Langaigne, Executive Director, at 703-221-1950, or Martin Langaigne at 703-981-6544, if you have any questions or need additional information.
Its all about KETO in Albany
Remember that KETO Diet going on down in Albany? Here is a tried and true recipe from the KETO Diet.
(KETO RECIPE) Lemon Garlic Butter Steak on Zucchini Noodles
1 1/2 lb flank steak, sliced 4 medium zucchini 2 tablespoons olive oil 4 garlic cloves, minced 2 tablespoons butter or ghee 1 lemon, juice and zest 1/4 cup (60ml) low-sodium chicken broth 1/4 cup chopped parsley 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes Salt and fresh cracked pepper, to taste The steak marinade 1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce 1/4 cup lemon juice 1/2 cup olive oil 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce (or any hot chili sauce you like) Directions
1. Combine the ingredients for the marinade in an airtight
container or a Ziploc bag. Add the steak strips into the
marinade, seal and allow to marinate in the refrigerator
for 30 minutes to one hour.
2. In the meantime, wash and trim the ends of the zucchi-
ni. Using a spiralizer, make the zucchini noodles, then
set aside.
3. Bring the steak to room temperature and heat oil in a
large skillet over medium-high heat — reserve the juices
of the marinade for later. Add the steak strips in one lay-
er and season with salt and pepper. Cook for one minute
without stirring.
4. Add minced garlic, then stir the steak for another mi-
nute or two to cook the other side. Remove the steak
from the skillet and set aside to a plate.
5. In the same skillet, add butter, lemon juice and zest,
red pepper flakes, chicken broth, and remaining mari-
nade juices. Bring to a simmer and allow to reduce for 2-
3 minutes, stirring regularly.
6. Stir in the fresh parsley, then add the zucchini noodles
and toss for two to three minutes to cook it up. Allow the
cooking juices to reduce for one minute if the zucchini
renders too much water. Add the steak strips back to the
pan and stir for another minute. Serve immediately and
Enjoy!
Notes: Instead of broth, you can enrich the dish with dry
white wine.
You can also cook your steak whole to the desired done-
ness, have it rest for a couple of minutes, then cut into
strips afterward.
Zucchini tends to render a lot of water when cooking, so you can sprinkle with salt after spiraling and allow to sit for a couple of minutes to take off excess water. Rinse well to get rid of salt and drain thoroughly in a colander before cooking. (Himalayan Salt is more Keto Friendly)
It’s that time of the year again. Most parents love it, while most kids probably do not. Yes, you guessed it, it is time to Go Back to School!! Whether your child is in elementary, middle, high school or college, IMSolutions wants to wish all of those heading back to school the best of luck for an excit-ing, challenging, successful 2018-2019 school year. With that, here are six quick back to school tips to help stu-dents get the year off on the right foot. Back to school tip #1: Get an organization system set in your mind before you start school Systems make things easy. That’s just the way it is. But too many students think that if they just get supplies to stay or-ganized, Boom! It happens. They’re organized! But it doesn’t work that way. Disorganized students rarely (like really rarely — as in flying pig rarely — or professional wrestler with a PhD rarely) get disorganized because they lack the proper tools. Disorganization almost always comes from the lack of an organizational system to use those tools. Back to school tip #2: Make sure you have the right tools Organization systems are important, and having the right tools make them easier to use. Does your stu-dent have a tool to keep their assignments in one place? How about a tool that lets them know what due dates are coming up? What about a tool that helps them stay on track today to make sure they get all their homework done? If they have tools for each of these, they should be set. Back to school tip #3: Prepare to do some work Back to school time means its back to work time. Learning is work. It’s hard work. It’s not always super fun. Prepare yourself, young grasshopper. It is recommended that students put a time on their calendar that they plan to study each day. This will help them mentally prep for the work ahead. Students should Expect to study at least 5 days a week (sad, I know, but it’s what it will take to stay on top of the work and helps to mitigate stress levels). Back to school tip #4: Get in a routine Who is waking up at the crack of noon? I know my son is. It’s probably time to revisit that alarm clock and start waking up before the sun starts going down. Developing any kind of routine is a great first step to-ward hitting that back to school grind. Back to school tip #5: Brush up on your study skills It has to be said, study skills impact everything about education — grades, time spent, stress levels, ad-vancement, and we could keep going. Back to school tip #6: Go to sleep It helps. Trust me. When you get some rest, you’ll be a much happier camper when the daily homework kicks up to hyper-speed again. We will stop right here with these six tips. Oh sure, this article could go on and on as there are many other ways to prepare for and become successful for the upcoming school year. Best of Luck to all who are heading back to school. Before you know it, the summer of 2019 will be upon us.

Following his own Dreams, Walking in his Dad’s Footsteps
As we prepared for the IMSolutions Back to School Issue, it was great seeing all the pictures of the IMSolutions’ employees children as they get ready to continue their education. What makes the newsletter fun is finding out things you didn’t know about our IMSolutions Fami-ly. That was the case with Jason Kaiser, a rising Senior at Brooke Point High School in Staf-ford Virginia. Jason, the son of Larizza and Jason Kaiser has been preparing himself for life after high school for many years. He is goal oriented and driven to succeed in everything he does. Jason has established himself as a well-rounded citizen, focusing on his academics, athlet-ics and community service. Academically, Jason is pursuing an International Baccalaureate Diploma, a rigorous pre-university course of studies with the Citizenship Seal, and enjoys a 4.62 GPA. He has been a member of the National Honor Society and National Spanish Hon-or Society since entering high school in 2015 and has earned three Academic Varsity Let-ters. Athletically, Jason is a four-year high school varsity wrestler and two-year varsity baseball player. His accomplishments include: 2018 Virginia Regional Wrestling Champion, 2nd Place at the 2018 Virginia Super States Wrestling Championships, 3rd Place at the 2018 Virginia High School State Wrestling Championships, and is a Virginia High School Coaches Association Academic All-American. Annually, Jason volunteers’ countless hours serving as a mentor at Outdoor Odyssey Semper Fi Fund Kids camp, a camp spe-cially geared for children of wounded warriors. He also volunteers for Rappahannock River and Prince William Forest Park clean up days and assists fellow students by tutoring them in Math and History. Jason has also served four years in the Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) at Brooke Point High School and is currently assigned as the Battalion Executive Officer. His previous billets include Company Commander, Chief Petty Officer and Class/Squad Leader. Jason is the recipient of the following NJROTC awards: 2018 Virginia House of Delegates Academic Excellence Award, 2018 Distinguished Cadet Award, Two-time American Legion Academic Excellence Awardee, Three-time Honor Cadet Awardee, and Three-time Outstanding NJROTC Cadet Awardee. It has been Jason's lifelong goal to serve his country as a Marine Officer, following in his dad's footsteps. Jason’s dream is to attend one of the United States military academies. His academic, athletic and civic performance in high school has truly set him up for success. He has applied to all five service academies: the U.S. Naval Academy, West Point Military Academy, the Coast Guard Academy, the Air Force Academy and the Merchant Marine Academy. Due to his outstanding candidacy, on Au-gust 6th, Jason received an official letter from West Point offering him an appointment to the United States Military Academy. This was truly an exciting moment for him and the entire Kaiser family. Nearly three weeks later, on August 24th, Jason re-ceived another letter offering him an appointment, this time from his number one choice, the United States Naval Academy. Jason plans to accept his appointment to the US Naval Academy (USNA) to study Engineering and obtain a Commission in the United States Marine Corps, with the hopes of serving as an Infantry Officer. He also plans to wrestle and play baseball for Divi-sion I athletics while attending the USNA. Jason’s mom stated, “Our family is so grateful for our Nation and the opportunities it provides to those who seek to shoot for the stars, who dedicate themselves and don't let anyone tell them different. We are proud of Jason's achievements, determina-tion, and desire to serve, and fully support him as he pursues this dream.”
IMSolutions would like to congratulate Jason and the entire Kaiser family on this great achievement and wish you the best of luck.
