Where we started

• 1991 : 400m2 premises

• Produced exhaust gas silencers and air intake attenuators

• 1994 : moved to a 900m2 premises nearby

• Became a major player - supplying diesel engine manufacturers,generator set builders and mechanical services installers

• Expanded product line to meet demand for products such as:• Boiler blow-down and steam, air and gas vent silencers

• Small gas turbine silencers,

• Stand alone catalytic converters or combined catalytic silencer/soot filters.

ExhaustSilencers

• Designed to meet the requirements of every application

• Use reactive and absorptive principles, or a combination

• From basic industrial absorptive silencers to super-critical silencers

• Can incorporate spark arrester with DNV or ATEX approvals

• Variations to suit restricted space or unusual configurations

• Can incorporate catalyst or NOx filtration systems

• Our own in-house test facility.


CombustionAir Intake Silencers• Noise is generated when air is drawn into large enginesthrough turbo chargers or compressors

• Our solutions use various forms of annular or rectangularintake silencers, to suit the flow system

• Designs include simple absorptive silencers, those with acentral pod, or annular splitter types

• Solutions for very large intake flows include single ormultiple-framed banked systems or rectangular parallel-typesplitter units.


CatalyticConverters

• IMS supply an exhaust gas catalyst to reduce engine emissions

• We supply three major kinds of catalytic converters:• Single-stage oxidation - reduces only carbon monoxide (CO)

• Two-stage oxidation - reduces carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons (HC)

• Three-stage SCR - reduces nitrous oxides as well as CO and HC

• For durability, stainless steel substrates are used

• Innovative construction maximises the surface area

• Can be installed as stand alone units or integrated intoan exhaust gas silencer.


Atmospheric VentSilencers

• Attenuate noise produced by gas or steam at elevatedpressures expanding to atmospheric pressure

• Two-fold purpose:• Reduce work-place noise levels

• Reduce industrial noise intrusion into residential areas

• Typical used within steam ejectors, steam and gas vents,process vents, turbine or compressor bypass systems andsafety and relief valves.


GeneratorCanopies

• We build generator canopies to protect both machinery andoperators

• Variety of weather canopies and acoustic canopies

• All manufactured to a high specification from a zintec steelbody, preformed into sections and welded to form a rigidstructure

• All panels are constructed of non-combustible materials

• Wide choice of options, accessories and services.


Air Inlet & ExtractAttenuators

• Machinery in plant rooms can cause problems withventilation and noise in adjacent areas

• Our noise-reducing product range suits all requirements,including:

• Acoustic louvers

• Splitter attenuators

• Fixed blade weather louvers

• Full range of louvers for harsh environments,

• All designed and constructed at our purpose-built facilityto the most stringent standards.


Acoustic Doors

• Excessive noise affects health and hearing, so efficientprotection is required

• IMS manufacture single and double acoustic doors with achoice of three levels of sound reduction - 30dB, 38dB and45dB - for high degree of noise control

• Double-skin construction of zintec steel from 1.6 to 3mmthickness

• Standard features such as lockable slam fastener and doubleSchlegel-type door seal

• Many optional features available to suit differentapplications.


Components &Accessories

• Comprehensive range of components to complement oursilencers - from the simplest bolt to a complete system

• Accessories include rain caps, flanges, gaskets, bolting sets,pipe work, expansion bellows, flexible pipe, elbows,brackets, hangers and guide

• Supplied as loose items or fabricated parts to suit all typesof installations

• Thermal and acoustic insulation.
