Introduction to IMS Europe
What is IMS Europe?
• A non-profit foundation for European participation in and access to IMS
• Members of IMS Europe are also members of IMS Global
• IMS members can attend any IMS work group, anywhere
• Like IMS Global, IMS Europe will reflect the aspirations of its members.
Activities for IMS Europe
• Host work groups reflecting European interests and strengths
• Run workshops and training events• Network with:
– European and national centres for eLearning (e.g. testing and certification, translation)
– IMS Global and its regional centres (Asia, Australia, North America)
– IMS-focused European research consortia.
Organisational Structure
• Management board – between 3 and 8 representatives
• Technical Board – also have vote on IMS Global Technical Board
• Work Groups – as approved by Technical Board
• Individual officers contracted as required.
