•  Followingre-entryintonego%a%onsinMay2016,theBMAandNHSEmployersreachedagreementonanewcontract

•  SignificantchangeshavebeenmadefollowingtheconcernstheBMAraised,manyasaresultoftheEquali%esImpactAssessment

•  ThecontractwasputtoavoteinJune2016inareferendumofBMAjuniordoctormembersinEngland(plusfinalandpenul%mateyearmedicalstudents)

•  Thecontractwasrejectedbyamajority(58%)ofmembers,andtheUKSecretaryofStateforHealthannouncedon6JulythathewouldimposethecontractonjuniordoctorsinEngland.
