In the past couple of years, IoT has really taken off within the aviation industry. However, a lack of connectivity, aging legacy systems, lack of internal buy-in and uncertainty over security have all restricted the implementation of IoT.

The 2nd Annual Internet of Aviation will look to address the inhibitors that are preventing wide-scale implementation of IoT through the dual-perspective of passenger experience and operational efficiency for maximised productivity, reduced costs and improved profitability.

We are bringing the entire ecosystem including airlines, airports, air traffic control and OEM’s to the event. The event will split into two main areas of focus, one being operational efficiency and the other passenger experience and the overarching theme of connectivity runs throughout the agenda.

Turning big data into actionable analytics and services and or revenue opportunities is another key area of the event.

We identify pre-event the Top 100 most important companies in the sector and invite them to attend on our guested programme. This means that you get to network with the companies most likely to have active IoT projects.

We ask you for your Target Account Lists - which we then research and identify your key contacts and a personalised invitation is sent (you receive the fully updated and populated list after the event). Those that attend can be invited to 1 to 1 meetings, giving you unique access to those companies that sales have spent months trying to contact.

We qualify all our attendees for budget, seniority, whether they are actively working on a project and timescale. We also have very strict criteria on who can attend - at least 70% of the audience will be senior executives from airlines, airports and air traffic control and we restrict the number of vendors that can attend. Your conversations will be with senior people who are looking to buy.

We arrange guaranteed 1 to 1 meetings with the delegates you want to meet through our intelligent meeting matching system. This allows you a full 20 minutes face to face with companies eager to discuss the technical aspects of your solution.

Our concierge service networks you on site with target accounts and introduces you to those prospects you want to meet, whether this be through hosted lunches, evening drinks or just a coffee at your meeting point. And for those companies that you did not get to meet, we will try to put you in contact post-event, so you don’t miss anybody!

Sponsors benefit from consistent support in the run-up to the event: in the scheduling of their private meetings, in their researched target key account lists and from a fully inclusive cost and hassle free set up of their exhibition area.

13:30 DEBATE: How much digital can a passenger take?

• The case for subtle technology: People still want to work with people! We live in a world with tech savvy millennials but it’s important to remember that these are not the only passengers that travel. IoT should therefore be a subtle experience that helps to equip staff with the knowledge to provide better customer service • The case for overt technology: Airlines and airports need to be seen as cutting edge, but furthermore passengers need to have a seamless flying experience that is fit for the 21st century. IoT by its very nature needs to visible to passengers and if executed well can help with customer loyalty and retention

Stream A: PASSENGER EXPERIENCE Stream B: OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY

13:30 Fireside Chat: Why is it important to monitor passenger flow? How is it done efficiently?

• First things first: Maximising passenger flow monitoring to aid with operational efficiency

• Moving to a ‘curb to curb’ model: Enhancing information sharing between Airports and Airlines to better serve the passenger • Optimising passenger monitoring while ensuring robust data privacy practices

14:00 One-to-one business meetings

Network with tech innovators that address your current priorities in these pre-arranged and mutually agreed meetings.

A valuable platform for educating yourself on the latest technology and making informed decisions for your IoT strategy.

15:15 Networking Break

• Why has luggage tracking become one of the hottest topic for the connected airline and airport?• Deep dive into the technology: RFID and beyond• Putting the passenger at ease to increase loyalty• Luggage tracking and operational efficiency: Saving the airline money and fuel

15:45 No More Lost Luggage: Luggage tracking

IoT provides Airlines, Airports and Air Traffic Controllers, with cost reductions, happier customers, better data, more efficiency and ultimately a return on investment. The trade-off is that it also makes the industry more susceptible to cyber-attack. Hear best practise cyber security, from both vendors and enterprise through a series of 10 minute presentations covering:• Securing new aircraft technologies in your critical and semi-critical systems • Where are your potential threats/ vulnerabilities?• How can the aviation industry achieve connectivity without compromising security?

16:15 Cyber Security Showcase: Defend your systems!

• Can IoT help drive ticket sale items? • How do you turn seat back systems into a cash machine?• Food design and IoT: Something new• Psychology and passengers: Creating conditions for ancillary revenue on board

17:00 How can IoT help generate and increase ancillary revenue?

Agenda at a glance12:30 Lunch

13:30 DEBATE: Please, no more beacons?

• The case for beacons: The ability of beacons to acquire data and personalise the passenger journey means that they remain hugely valuable to the industry and should be part of any investment in digital solutions. • The case against beacons: There is no doubt that the early potential of beacon technology was impressive. However, IoT has evolved and so has the technology. At the end of the day, do you really want to be bombarded with pop-ups as you walk through an airport? The industry should look to explore alternatives
