The Theatre, Dance & Performance Technology program partners withBrighter Connections Theatre each summer to offer a theatre camp foryouth and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This night is afundraiser for this terrific non-profit, showcasing the best improv companiesin our region, as well as the talented Brighter Connections participants.Come laugh and support BCT!

Jewels returns to New Jersey after her father’s death and joins hermother and her sister, Tess, to prepare for the funeral. She returns homeat the same time a hurricane is heading towards the Jersey shores. Duringthese seven days, she also decides to visit four women: victims, loversand friends of her father, a Pentecostal pastor who lost his church andfamily in a sexual scandal twenty years earlier. As she breaks their code ofsilence, Jewels finds herself in a poetic and magical world of Bible versesand hurricanes and a collection of childhood characters from Moses andTinkerbell to Cinderella and the Little Mermaid. Together, Jewels and herfriends, search for the faith she lost and the father she thought she knew.Join us for the regional premiere of this new O’Neill National PlaywrightsContest semi-finalist play and engage in a residency for the playwright,Ingrid DeSantis, who will discuss this work of magical realism at selectperformances.

Presented in collaboration between Dayton Contemporary DanceCompany’s pre-professional DCDC2 and the University of Dayton DanceEnsemble, Untold Stories translates diverse choreographers’ worksthrough real or imagined stories, personal adventures, kept secrets andspiritual journeys. This concert demonstrates the power of dance toexpress those areas of the human psyche where words and logic fail.
