IMPROV ALL-STARS NIGHT FOR BCT The Theatre, Dance & Performance Technology program partners with Brighter Connections Theatre each summer to offer a theatre camp for youth and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This night is a fundraiser for this terrific non-profit, showcasing the best improv companies in our region, as well as the talented Brighter Connections participants. Come laugh and support BCT! FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 27 | 7:30 P.M. Boll Theatre, Kennedy Union STAINED GLASS BY INGRID DESANCTIS Co-produced by the Theatre, Dance & Performance Technology program and The Playground Jewels returns to New Jersey after her father’s death and joins her mother and her sister, Tess, to prepare for the funeral. She returns home at the same time a hurricane is heading towards the Jersey shores. During these seven days, she also decides to visit four women: victims, lovers and friends of her father, a Pentecostal pastor who lost his church and family in a sexual scandal twenty years earlier. As she breaks their code of silence, Jewels finds herself in a poetic and magical world of Bible verses and hurricanes and a collection of childhood characters from Moses and Tinkerbell to Cinderella and the Little Mermaid. Together, Jewels and her friends, search for the faith she lost and the father she thought she knew. Join us for the regional premiere of this new O’Neill National Playwrights Contest semi-finalist play and engage in a residency for the playwright, Ingrid DeSantis, who will discuss this work of magical realism at select performances. This concert demonstrates the power of dance toexpress those areas of the human psyche where words and logic fail.
