Importing/Exporting between Fireworks and Dreamweaver

ForButtons, Navigation Bar and

Animated Banners

Animated banner

• You should have already created and saved your animated banner as an animated gif

• Open Dreamweaver and create a new HTML page

Insert the animated banner

• Position the cursor on the web page where you want the banner to go– Select Insert, Image– Browse and select the animated gif you created

Buttons and Navigation bar

• You should have already created and saved your buttons and navigation bar as HTML and Image

• Open Dreamweaver and create a new HTML page OR

• Better still, use the existing page you created for your buttons and navigation bar

Insert Buttons and Navigation Bar

• Position the cursor on the web page where you want the buttons/navigation bar to go– Select Insert, Image Objects, Fireworks HTML– Browse and select the HTML file you created for

button Make sure you select the HTML file that looks like this:

Saving and Previewing

• Dreamweaver will ask you to save the website every time you preview

• Make sure you save it in the same folder as your Fireworks objects

• Preview by selecting File, Preview in Browser, Iexplore

• Check the web page that shows up that your objects work as intended
