Wow,doesthenewhomeforKosairShrinerslookgood.Thebuildingisstillundergoingsomefinalinstallations,butitislookingnice.
The first FridayNight eventwas an excellentway tostartthingsoff.Thefoodwasgreatandtheattendancewasfarbetterthatanyonethought.TheStreetMachinesusedthisasourMarchDriveandDine.Wherewewouldnormallyplanamealatarestaurantaroundtown,wefeltitwasbettertoparticipateinthegrandopening.ItwasbyfarourbestattendedDriveandDinewithmanyparticipants. Attached is a picture captured atKosairforthatnight.
Bythetimethisisprinted,ourannualcarshowwillhavecomeandgone.WewishtothankeachandeveryNobleandUnitthathelpedusmakethiseventasuccess.Theparadeseasonisinfullbloom.Wewillmakeeveryattempt to participate in the pageantry and show thecommunity that the Shriners are a proud group andalwayswillingtostepinandcontribute.Ihopetoseeyouatonesoon.

Whew!My apologies to all ofourBandsmenandLadies fornotgettinganarticleouttheselst fewmonths. I just plainmissed the deadine severaltimes,andtherejustain’tnowexcuseforit.Sonow,letmestartplaying a little catch-up. Thefirstbigeventsfor2015weretheDivaninstallation,theCircusinFebruary,,and‘THEMOVE’tothenewShrinebuilding.Afterthelongwaittomove,italltookplace suddenly right after theCircus.TheOrientalBand’snewHQstilllookslikeatornadotore
through it.Witha lot of help,wewilleventuallygetsquaredaway.OurMardiGrasDance,whichgot snowed out in February,finally took place as the firstdance in ournewTemple.Wehadagoodcrowd,andtheMid-Life Crisis Band performedgreat,asusual.Thanks to theBand members who helpeddecorate early thatmorning,andalsohelpedcleanupafter.WealsohadhelpfromKentandSherriGott,whowere namedKingandQueenthisyear.
InApril,Kosair held a partyto break in the new patio atournewbuilding andwe alsoheldtheMasonicFairandArchCeremony.TheOrientalBandwasaskedtoparticipate,andweweregladtohelp.April30wasthedate for the2015PegasusParade.Theusualhurry-upandwait,andthenweallputonagoodperformanceonthestreet.

thereisaporticoatthemainentrancewhereyoucanwaitwhileyourwifeparksthecar(nousebothgettingwet).
We recently hadNobles Arthur Buchter andCurtisAshcraft join theKosairTransportationUnit.Gentlemenwewelcomeyou. If any othermember,ormembers,ofKosairwishestojoinourgroupwewelcomeyou.Sincethemajorityofourtripsstartinthemorningithelpstoberetiredorsemi-retired.Youwillbefurnishedauniformandalloutofpocketexpenseswhileonatripwillbereimbursed.Ourmeetingsstartat10:30AMevery3rdWednesdayofthemonth.
