As you may have heard over the past year, the trend in the TV industry is to “Go Digital”. This means that cable companies, like CATV Service, will be converting many of their channels to a digital-only format. The reason behind this transition to digital is to provide you, the customer, with the most enhanced picture and sound quality. It also creates increased network capacity for more HD channels, faster internet, and future entertainment and communication products.

As part of your subscription, CATV Service will ship you one (1) New digital transport adapter (DTA). The monthly rental fee for this DTA is FREE as part of your subscription. The DTA will enable you to continue viewing All channels in the Basic Preferred Lineup as we begin to deliver most of them in a digital-only format. As an added bonus, you’ll receive 45 commercial-free music channels from Music Choice® with the new DTA.

1. What do I need for each additional TV connection where I wish to view ALL channels in the Basic Preferred Lineup?

You will need one of the following from CATV Service: a) DTA* b) Digital Converter c) HD Converter d) HD/DVR Converter, OR a TV with a built-in digital tuner. If you are not sure if your TV has a built-in digital tuner, check your manual or with your set’s manufacturer.

*2nd DTA monthly rental fee is also FREE (ordering details to follow with shipment of the New DTA).

3. What is Music Choice®?

Music Choice® is 45 commercial-free music channels with crystal clear, digital, CD-quality sound. It offers a wide choice of music genres including: Classical. Country, Dance, Inspirational, Instrumentals, Jazz & Blues, Latin, Pop, Rock, Urban, Variety, and Vocal & Theatrical.
