LABOR FORCE
Focusing on adjusting cohort-specific labor force
participation rates
• Collected current forecasts from BLS by race, age and gender
Analysis indicated BLS rates were significantly higher than
model rates
Labor force participation rates were adjusted for each race
and gender, ages 30-59 cohorts
Adjusting these rates revealed a more reasonable baseline
and forecast for each module (econometric and demographic) in
the REMI model
As seen in previous slides, future scenarios were adjusted
based on these findings

HISPANIC COMPOSITION
TAC suggested a reduction of Hispanic immigration and
fertility rates
• Data collection for Hispanic immigration and birth rates was
undertaken
Data sources on immigration derived from the REMI model
Data sources on fertility retrieved with the GA DHR OASIS
query tool
• Sources show immigration slightly decreased through
calibration process and implementing developed policy variables
Still need further evaluation
• GA DHR confirmed the data within the model equates to
actual data
