Project Management and Tracking
• 2-pronged, quarterly tracking system in place– MS Project– Narrative, qualitative report
• Quarterly reporting structure– Universal template, Highlights, Challenges– Summary report per focus area per quarter
• Key highlights from first quarterly report – Example– Approaching milestone of 50000 trained in L12/32 TIM– Champions and opinion leaders identified for C06– Showcases, demos and workshops held for R04, R05, R09, R10
& R26

We are listening…
Challenge Solution Result
Engage transportation agencies in every state
State visits; increased targeted outreach and communication; better time intervals throughout IAP; examination of widest potential audience
As of Round 4, all but 2 AASHTO member departments have applied through the IAP. MPOs, local DOTs, and others are also applying.
Connect customers and facilitate peer-to-peer knowledge transfer
Updated GoSHRP2 site features In the Field section; commitment to contributing to peer exchange; updated contact info on site
More availability of user data and stronger linkage of peer connections
Streamline the post-selection IAP activities
Use lessons learned to standardize process
Expectations are managed, funds are allocated more timely, and projects are initiated quicker
