Impact of SlimBiomeâ on satiety, satiation, weight loss and gut microbiome composition in overweight & obese women
BackgroundSlimBiomeâ is a patented formulation designed to promotethe feeling of fullness, burn calories by promoting a healthymetabolism and to maintain blood sugar levels. SlimBiomeâreduces food cravings and as such helps reduce body weightand aids the sustainability of weight loss
Faecal microbiome analysis revealed notable increasesthe relative abundance of Christensenellaceae,Bacteroidetes and Actinobacteria
Methods
• 4-week, prospective, open label study• 12 females (18-65 years), BMI 25-35kg/m2
• Participants were asked to consume 9g SlimBiomeâdaily, delivered through the GoFigureâplan.
• Anthropometric, mood and craving parameters wererecorded weekly.
• Faecal samples were obtained at baseline and at theend of the 4-week study for metagenomic analysis
Objectives
Investigate the effect of SlimBiomeâ, as the functionalingredient in a calorie restricted diet plan (GoFigureâ),on weight loss, satiety, satiation, mood and gutmicrobiome composition in a human intervention study.
Results
SlimBiome® may be used as an effective meansof supporting hunger-free weight managementwhen combined with healthy eating
