THE EVENTS

Photography and Videography Movement:

Impact Week 2012 is planned to be the first virtual event AIESEC India has ever done. We believe that everyone wants to participate in our cause of impacting the society but there are a lot of times when they do not get the platform. To make Impact Week easily accessible to all we have put a major chunk of it on facebook via various competitions.

Keeping this in mind, we launched a photography movement where people participate by sending a picture which creates an impact on the society and fulfils the motive of Impact Week 2012 which is generating a feeling of voluntarism in every individual. At the end of the event, we planned to recognize three people whose entries created the most impact. These three people would be certified from AIESEC in Delhi IIT and our client Earth Saviors Foundation. Also they would be taken on a free 3 day 2 night workshop to Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary under the eminent wildlife photographer Mr. Binay Dimri. We had more than 350 people creating an impact in the photography movement. The three people to get selected were Malvika Sharma, Aashish Kumar and Vanya Rakesh. Their pictures is as follows in the order:

AIESECx: AIESEC in Delhi IIT’s vision is Supplementing the Indian Education System. We feel that schools do not provide the students with the practical knowledge, rather focus only on the theoretical part. To empower the students, it was decided to conduct Youth Empowerment Sessions in the schools of Delhi and give sessions on Marketing, Finance, HR, Event Management etc. This helped us expanding AIESEC India network also since now students who enter colleges would be knowing about AIESEC. We covered 10 schools and empowered more than 1000 students. Some of the prominent Schools were Apeejay Sheikh Sarai, Delhi Public School Mathura Road, Salwan Public School, DAV Janakpuri, Happy Model School

Blood Donation Camp: AIESEC in Delhi IIT had partnered with Max Hospital Saket for conducting Blood Donation Camp. Max Hospital Saket recognized every volunteer for Blood Donation by giving them a certificate of appreciation which had a AIESEC logo and a 6 month donor card which could be used by the volunteer’s family in emergency cases. Online Partners: We had WeekendR and Inc42 as our online promotion partner which helped us spreading Impact Week on the online forum.
