EASTER SUNDAY— APRIL 20, 2014
Easter Greetings to all. Easter is a life changer for us all. Because Christ rose from the dead, we know that the grave is not a “dead end”, and that we have hope for the future. We see that there are many problems in our world, and much suffering, but even in the midst of all the negatives we can hope for a bright future. This is not just wishful thinking, but a sure promise we can lay hold of and claim for ourselves and those we love. In the resurrection, Jesus is a new creation, a new way of being, and we receive that newness through our own
baptism and in weekly participation in Christ’s sacrifice of his body and blood. Let us live our faith, and let us ask God to renew us day by day. Happy Easter! Porque Cristo resucitó de los muertos, nosotros sabemos que la tumba no es el “punto final” y que nosotros tenemos esperanza para el futuro. Nosotros vemos que hay muchos problemas in nuestro mundo, y también mucho sufrimiento, pero también en el medio de todo los negativo nosotros podemos tener la esperanza por un futuro brillante. Esto no es solamente un pensamiento deseoso, pero una promesa segura que podemos contar y demandar para nosotros y a los que queremos. En la resurrección, Jesús es una nueva creación, una manera nueva de ser, y nosotros recibimos esa novedad por medio de nuestro proprio bautizmo y en la participación semanal en el sacrificio de Cristo de su cuerpo y sangre.
