RCIA Do you have questions about the Catho-lic faith, or does someone you know have questions? Do you know anyone who is considering the possibility of becoming a member of the Catholic Church? Are you yourself considering this possibility? The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (and for youth) is for anyone who has never been baptized OR has been baptized in anoth-er Christian religion OR has been bap-tized but has not received the sacraments of First Eucharist and/or Confirmation. For information about the RCIA process, or to simply ask questions and have a conversation about becoming a member of the Catholic Church, please call Rich at the parish office at: 607-273-6121

Who Are Mercy Associates? The Mercy Association is a mutually enriching relationship between the Sis-ters of Mercy and women and men (21 years of age and older) who seek to respond to Gospel holiness through sharing in the Spirit and Mission of Mer-cy. Associates live a non-vowed life through a permanent Covenant which allows them to support and expand the life and Works of Mercy in ways appropriate to their gifts, talents and lifestyles. After a period of Inquiry and Discernment, candidates publicly share their personal Covenant. A Covenant is a promise made to God to share in the Works of Mercy begun by Mother Catherine McAuley (Ireland 1831) and Mother Frances Warde (United States 1843). These works include concern for the poor, the sick and uneducated, but do not exclude one’s personal minis-tries which benefit the lives of others. For more information, you can contact Sister Edna at [email protected].
