LassieWhen we say “Lassie” what’s the first thing came to your mind???

If is it a dog then you can understand the concept what our project based on. A user friendly AI (Artificial Intelligent) who makes contact with us and make our day to day computer activities easier.

Just imagine if you are an old person who lives lonely there is no one to talk with, or a Physically Challenged person, or a worker who works far away from home, or a little child with vocal difficulties???

Then our project was the best solution for you.

We are trying to build an AI who can communicate with human and answer questions. And remember the patterns and use them for future reference.

User ScenariosWho will use our application?

Our first target group is physically disabled persons. For example blind, difficulties with hearing and vocal etc. for example person with visual disability can just command what to do and AI will done it for you. Not difficult ones like play a song etc. and for children with vocal difficulties can use this as a tool to improve their vocal standard.

And the second target group is lonely old people. They don’t have any one to talk with. They don’t have a vase knowledge about computer or how to use it. When they feel lonely they can chat with Lassie about anything. Because lassie based on speech recognition and Internet they can chat about anything.

What are the functions that users can use from app?

Mainly this app based on Windows voice recognition. When the person speak to the Lassie it recognize the voice and match it with its inbuilt data base for answers. If there is no right answer for the question in data base Lassie search it in Internet and gives the best answer.

Also we can use this for remember things and remind things.

How? What? When?

To activate user must speak to Lassie by her name. The microphone on computer will always turn on and only activate when hear its name.

Any time user ask something after activate will be recognize and will be answered.

There are no other application like this to cooperate with computer. The closest one is Windows speech recognition. But it’s not user friendly. Most of the time users don’t even know about it. And it can’t answer the questions asked by user.

Future of this ApplicationWe can develop this application in to more

deeper levels. For example if we hum a song Lassie will recognize it and play that song or sing with us. We can use face recognition to recognize the face from user to user and select the database for the user and chat with them. Or recognize emotions and respond for suitable way.

We can hand over our basic day to day work to them. For example switch on lights after 6.00pm like that…
