Description: Colour Ruby red, deep and intense; with aging it will tend to take on
garnet-colored nuances.
Nose The typical floral nose of Sangiovese manifests itself in Il Fondatorewith hints of lavender and violets accompanied by overlays of rhubarb andpipe tobacco.
Palate Velvety and soft in the mouth with dense but sweet and eleganttannins. It expresses with persistency all the best that we can have fromour Selected Sangiovese that grows on our Chianti soils, rich in limestoneand minerals. Beautiful mineral structure. Elegant and powerful.
Food pairing best suited to red meat and game dishes,with a rich and tasty flavor.
Ideal serving temperature 18°C
