Dear Readers,

Greetings and a warm welcome to July- December, 2017 issue of our newsletter, “Jigyasa”, which serves as one of the imperative communication channel between IITM and its major stakeholders. Jigyasa presents an overview of all the activities and events organized in the campus during the period of July-December, 2017. In this issue we view the past and the future as our catalogue of activities with new goals and exuberance. The previous semester witnessed various ecstatic moments as our students achieved prominence in diversified fields and brought laurels to the Institute by wining university gold medals in MCA and BCA. We are looking forward to commence the forthcoming semester with ecstasy and earnest commitment.

“Vision looks inward and becomes duty. Vision looks outward and becomes aspiration. Vision looks upward and becomes faith.” – Stephen S. Wise. Here at IITM we try to nurture the visionary gleam that lies within the students and cultivate the art of seeing the imperceptible things. In organizations, it often becomes embedded not only in documents or repositories, but also in organizational routines, processes, practices and norms. True to this sense, this issue of JIGYASA brings to you an account of the events and activities that took place at the institution, bringing to me a feeling of fruition of the events and programs envisioned in the earlier semester. Indeed, there is so much to share and feel proud of. The panoramic glimpses of the vibrant and fecund events are entwined into its pages which speak themselves for the thrusts, learning dimensions and developments that took place in the semester gone by. The very objective of education at IITM is to let the students find their own wisdom and hone the sense of right & wrong. We take our teaching profession as a social responsibility, contributing our mite to build a new vibrant India.

JIGYASA, a snapshot of various curricular and extra curricular events, has come up with another issue. IITM family acknowledges that education is an ongoing and interactive process which is not only confined to the institute but also in excogitation through recreational activities, community and social services.

Symbolizing the intrinsic spirit, the institution aims to impart and promote value based quality education in emerging areas of

professional studies and attempting, in all earnestness, to touch the pinnacles of academic excellence. It astounds a feeling of

inquisitiveness and delves deep into ethos of higher education. It is an encouraging news for IITM fraternity that the institution

has progressed in terms of its national accreditation, curriculum enrichment, infrastructure upgradation, software program

enhancements, students and faculty exchange programs, guest lectures, interactions with industry and developmental

programmes, the mainstay for any incremental process.

This newsletter intends to emphasize upon the changing paradigm and highlights the shift. Though we feel proud of our

accomplishments; we still have to facilitate practices that will ultimately lead to the development of innovative approaches

towards teaching & learning and foster intellectual development of students and educators. With this aim and intent of

expanding our wings, we have started B.com. (H) program. It will be our utmost endeavor to maintain and sustain the growth

trajectory of our institute.
