[the ansar were weeping] He (i.e. Abu Bakr or Al-`Abbas) asked, "Why are you weeping?" They replied, "We are weeping because we remember the gathering of the Prophet () with us." [that we used to sit with him (s)] So Abu Bakr went to the Prophet () and told him of that. [The Prophet (s) was unwell so he was in his house] The Prophet () came out [from his house, in his illness], tying his head [asaba: to tie] with a piece of the hem of a sheet [hem: border, so he had tied it like a turban. When do you tie this? when your head is hurting]. He ascended the pulpit which he never ascended after that day. He gloriLied and praised Allah and then said, "I request you to take care of the Ansar [that you should treat them well] as they are my near companions [karish: stomach - an expression of closeness. When food reaches the stomach it is digested and beneLits the whole body, so the ansar also helped the Prophet

كتاب مناقب األنصار باب قول النبي صىل الله عليه وسلم " اقبلوا من محسنهم وتجاوزوا عن مسيئهم "

Chapter: The statement of the Prophet (s), “Accept the good of the good-doers amongst them, and excuse the wrong-doers.”

اج، عن ثنا أيب، أخربنا شعبة بن الحج ثنا شاذان، أخو عبدان حد ، حد د بن يحيى أبو عيل ثني محم حدهشام بن زيد، قال سمعت أنس بن مالك، يقول مر أبو بكر والعباس ـ رىض الله عنهام ـ مبجلس من

مجالس األنصار وهم يبكون، فقال ما يبكيكم قالوا ذكرنا مجلس النبي صىل الله عليه وسلم منا. فدخل عىل النبي صىل الله عليه وسلم فأخربه بذلك ـ قال ـ فخرج النبي صىل الله عليه وسلم وقد عصب عىل رأسه حاشية برد ـ قال ـ فصعد المنرب ولم يصعده بعد ذلك اليوم، فحمد الله وأثنى عليه، ثم قال "

أوصيكم باألنصار، فإنهم كريش وعيبتي، وقد قضوا الذي عليهم، وبقي الذي لهم، فاقبلوا من محسنهم، وتجاوزوا عن مسيئهم ".

- ThehadithshowsthelovebetweentheAnsarandtheProphet(s)-andthereasonforthislove.Whatwasthatreason?Itwasthedeen.Theypaidahugepriceforacceptingthisdeen.Itwasnoteasy.buttheyvaluedthedeen,anditbecameasourceoftheirsalvationindunyaandakhirah.Theyrecogniedthevalueofthedeen,thatwhathascometotheminindeedverygreatandshouldbetakenatanycoset.Sotheydidnotcareabouttheirwealthorlife.Andanintelligentpersonvaluesthedeen-thatwhatIcangetbecauseofit,whatIamgainigthroughitcannotbewithoutit.Sotherearethosepeoplewhowillacceptthedeenatanycost,nomatterwhatpainandhardshiptheyhavetobearinitspath-theywillbearit,evenifitslikeholdingaburningcoalintheirhands.Theyknowitisallworthit.Ifoneistold,thereisaplacewhereyoucangetdiamondsoutfrom,allyou

TheProphet(s)’sheadachewasmuchworsethanwhatwecouldsufferfrom…he(s)lovedtheansaralso,sohecameoutandadvisedpeopleregardingtheansar.

ثنا ابن الغسيل، سمعت عكرمة، يقول سمعت ثنا أحمد بن يعقوب، حد حدابن عباس ـ رىض الله عنهام ـ يقول خرج رسول الله صىل الله عليه وسلم

وعليه ملحفة، متعطفا بها عىل منكبيه، وعليه عصابة دسامء حتى جلس عىل ا بعد، أيها الناس، فإن الناس المنرب، فحمد الله وأثنى عليه، ثم قال " أم

يكرثون وتقل األنصار، حتى يكونوا كالملح يف الطعام، فمن ويل منكم أمرا يرض فيه أحدا أو ينفعه، فليقبل من محسنهم، ويتجاوز عن مسيئهم ".

NarratedIbn`Abbas:Allah'sMessenger(ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص)(inhisfatalillness)cameoutwrappedinasheetcoveringhisshouldersandhisheadwastiedwithanoilytapeofclothtillhesatonthepulpit,andafterpraisingandglorifyingAllah,hesaid,"Then-after,Opeople!Thepeoplewillgoonincreasing,buttheAnsarwillgoondecreasingtilltheybecomejustlikesaltinameal.SowhoeveramongstyouwillbetherulerandhavethepowertoharmorbeneLitothers,shouldacceptthegoodofthegood-doersamongstthemandexcusethewrongdoersamongstthem.”- ForIbnAbbas,ithasbeensaid‘radiyAllahuanhumaa’-mayAllahbepleasedwithbothofthem:meaningthefatherandtheson:AbdullahandhisfatherAbbas(r).

سـعد بـن مـعاذ بـن النعامن بـن امرئ الـقيس، االويس االنـصاري: ... مـن أهـل املـديـنة. كـانـت لـه سـيادة االوس، وحـمل لـواءهـم يـوم بـدر. وشهـد أحـدا، فـكان مـمن ثـبت فـيها. وكـان مـن أطول الـناس وأعـظمهم جسام. ورمـي بـسهم يـوم الـخندق، فامت مـن

Sa`d bin Mu`az bin Imru’ al-Qais al-Awsi al-Ansari is among the people of Madinah. He was the leader of Aws and was the bearer of the flag on the day of Battle of Badr. He was one of those who remained steadfast in the Battle of Uhad. Physically he was tall in height and with a heavy strong build. On the day of Trench, he got wounded by an arrow which caused his death and he was buried in Baqi`. The Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص was very sad at his death.

Da’wah immediately after accepting Islamالم سـعد بـن مـعاذ وأسـيد بـن الحضري عىل يـد مـصعب بـن عمري الـعبدري وكـان مـصعب قـدم املـديـنة قـبل السـبعني كـان إسـأصـحاب الـعقبة اآلخرة يـدعـو الـناس إىل اإلسالم ويـقرئـهم الـقرآن بـأمـر رسـول الـله صىل الـله عـليه وسـلم فلام أسـلم سـعد بـن مـعاذ مل يـبق يف بـني عـبد األشهـل أحـد إال أسـلم يـومـئذ فـكانـت دار بـني عـبد األشهـل أول دار مـن األنـصار أسـلموا جـميعا رجـالـهم ونـساؤهـم وحول سـعد بـن مـعاذ مـصعب بـن عمري وأبـا أمـامـة أسـعد بـن زرارة إىل داره فـكانـا يـدعوان الـناس إىل اإلسالم يف دار سـعد بـن مـعاذ وكـان سـعد بـن مـعاذ وأسـعد بـن زرارة ابـني خـالـة وكـان سـعد بـن مـعاذ وأسـيد بـن الحضري يكرسان أصـنام

Sa’d b. Mu’adh and Usayd b. Hudayr both embraced Islam at the hand of Mus’ab b. Umayr (r) who had arrived in Madinah before the Prophet (s).

He called people to Islam and at the instruction and permission of the Prophet (s) he taught them Qur’an. on the day that Sa’d b. Muadh embraced Islam there was no one in the clan of BanuAbd Ash’hal except that he also embraced Islam. The Banu Abd Ashhal were the first clan all of whose men and women embraced Islam. Sa’d b, Muadh moved Mus’ab b. Umayr and AbuUmamah As’ad b. Zaraarah to his house and so they would invite people to Islam from his house.Sa’d b. Mu’ad and As’ad b. Zurarah were cousins and Sa’d b. Mu’adh and USayd b. Hudayr together broke the idols of Banu Abd Ashhal.- -THeydidntselltheidolsthatokayletsmakesomemoney

Lived only for six years after Islamسعد بن معاذ أسلم وعمره30عآماوتويف وعمره36 عاما فامذآ قدم يف 6 سنوآت حتى أهتز ملوته عرش الرحمن؟

Sa`d bin Mu`az was 30 years of age when he embraced Islam and died at the age of 36 years. - -ATtheageof30hewastheleaderofhispeople.

فـلألنـصار أسـياد كثیر، وأشهـر مـن لـقب مـن الـصحابـة بـذلـك الـلقب سـعد بـن مـعاذ وسـعد بـن عـبادة، وكالهام وصـفه الـنبي صىل الـله عـليه وسـلم ولـقبه بذلـك، فـقد قـال يف سـعد بـن مـعاذ: قوموا إىل سـيدكـم. مـتفق عـليه. وقـال يف سـعد بـن عـبادة: اسـمعوا إىل

The Ansar had many leaders, and Sa’d b. Muadh and Sa’d b. Ubadah were of those companions who were given the title of ‘sayyid’ (leader) by the Prophet (s). He (s) said regarding Sa’d b. Abu Sa’id al-Khudri said:When Banu Quraizah agreed to accept Sa’d’s judgment the ,this was after Khandaq)banu Quraidhahwere besieged by themuslims for 25(days, the Prophet (ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص) sent a messenger to him. When he came riding on a white ass, the prophet (ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص) said: stand up to (show respect to) your chief or he said: “to the best of you”. The Messenger of Allah (s) said, O people advise me! and by this he meant the Ansar. This is because they were more numerous in number, and when they had pledged at Aqabah they had said, O Messenger of Allah! we will protect you when you are in our city, and we will protect you from what we protect our children and women folk. So the Prophet (s) was concerned that if the enemy was outside the city then the Ansar will not consider it their responsibility to defend him (s).

By the One who has sent you with the truth, if you take us towards the ocean also, we will follow you and enter into it with you, no man from amongst us will remain behind. We do not mind that you make us fight our own enemy. We are firm in battle and true in our word. In another narration: Sa’d said: Perhaps you had set out for something, but Allah has imposed something different on you, proceed towards what your Lord has imposed on you. Make affiliations with whomever you will and sever them with whomever , make peace with whomever you will and keep enmity with whoever, and take from our wealth whatever you wish, and give us whatever you will, and what you take from our wealth is more beloved to us than the wealth that you leave for us. Aisha (r) reported, I went out on the day of the Battle of the Trench on the footsteps of people (meaning behind them), and I heard the sound of the earth splitting behind me (the sound of someone walking) so I looked back and saw that Sa’d b. Muadh had come, and with him was his nephew Harith b. Aws who was carrying a shield. I sat on the side and Sa’d (r) went past, he was wearing an iron armour and his limbs were still exposed so I became worried for him, that he might get wounded since he was the largest and tallest of all people. So he went by reciting poetry: Just wait a little, the battle will be in full swing, and how beautiful is that death which comes at its appointed time. After this I got up from there and went into a garden, I saw that a group of muslims was present there amongst

whom was Omar b. Khattab (r) and among them was a man on whose head was a helmet. When Omar saw me he asked, why have you come? By Allah! you are very daring, how could you feel safe from getting hurt, or that you may have to run? He continued to reproach me until I wished that the earth would split beneath me and I would be gone. At this time, the man removed the helmet from his head and I saw it was Talhah b. Ubaydullah (r) and he said, O Omar, shame on you, you have said much today, Where is seeking shelter with Allah and running to Allah?- MeaningshehascomeoutforthesakeofAllahsoletherbe

Then a man from the mushrikin whose name was Ibn Araqah began shooting arrows at Sa’d (r) and he said, take these arrows from me! I am Ibn Araqah! An arrow hit his arm and cut a vein, so Sa’d prayed to Allah, that o Allah do not let me die until I am comforted with the end of Banu Quraydhah!- BecausethebanuQuraydhahhadbetrayedthemuslimsatthisoccasion

The BanuQuraydhah were his allies and haleef prior to Islam. His wound got better and the Mushrikin were imposed with a strong wind. Allah was sufficient for His servants in this battle and He is Mighty and Powerful. …. Then the Prophet (s) came to Banu Quraydhah and laid siege upon them which continued for 25 days, when the siege intensified and the difficulty for the Banu

Quraydhah increased, so someone advised them to surrender to the Prohet (s). They asked AbuLubabah (r) about this so he gestured to them that you will be killed, so they said, we will only accept the decree of Sa’d b. Muadh so the Prophet (s) agreed. The Prophet (s) sent for Sa’d b. Muadh (r), so he was brought on a donkey, and his people had surrounded him who were saying to him, ‘O AbuAmr, these people are you previous allies, friends and are great fighters. you know them, but Sa’d was not responding, nor was he paying any attention to them. When they reached near the houses of banu quraydhah he addressed his people and said, Now is the time when I shall fear the blame of any one who blames regarding Allah and shall not care. When he reached near the Prophet (s), he (s) said, stand up for your leader and bring him down from his ride. The Prophet (s) said, give your decree regarding them. Sa’d (r) said, I give my decree regarding them…The Prophet (s) said, you have made the decree in accordance with that of Allah. Then Sa’d (r) prayed, that O Allah, If there are still any battles against the quraysh then keep me alive, and if this matter is over then take me to Yourself. By this time his health had improved greatly, and his wound was very small, but he made this dua and his wound burst again. He then returned to his tent that the Prophet (s) had set up for him in the masjid.

Aisha (r) said, AbuBakr and Omar then came to him, and by the One in Whose hand is the life of Muhammad (s), I could hear the sound of AbuBakr and Omar crying, and they were as Allah has described them, ‘ruhamaau baynahum’ they are affectionate towards each other. Alqamah said, I said to Aisha (r), O mother, how was the Prophet (s) at that time? she said, his tears were flowing at the time, although when he became sad, he would hold his beard in his hand. - Hismainquality:helovedforAllah,hatedforAllah,gaveforAllahandwithheldforthesakeofAllah-soheperfectedhisIman.

Narrated 'Aishah: When Sa'd b. Mu'adh suffered affliction on the day of Trench, a man shot an arrow in the vein of his arm. The Messenger of Allah (ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص) pitched a tent for him in the mosque so that he might visit him from near.

Mahmud ibn Labid said, "When the vein of Sa'd's arm was gravely wounded and increased in the Battle of the Ditch, they moved him to the house of a woman named Rufayda who used to treat the wounded. When the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص passed by him, he would inquire, 'How are you this evening?' and in the morning, 'How are you this morning?' and he would tell him.

Treated him with his own handملسو هيلع هللا ىلصبيده مبشقص ثم ورمت فحسمه الثانية. [مسلم:5878] عن جابر قال رمى سعد بن معاذ ىف أكحله قال فحسمه النبى

Jabir reported that Sa'd b. Mu'adh received a wound of the arrow in his vein. Allah's Messenger (ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص) cauterized it with a rod and it was swollen, so the Messenger of Allah (ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص) did it for the second time.

Banu Qurayzah agreed on the decision of Sa`d bin Mu`adh, so Allah’s Messenger sent for Sa`d and he came on a donkey.

بـوا رسـولـك ه لـيس أحـد أحـب إيل أن أجـاهـدهـم فـيك مـن قـوم كـذ ك تـعلم أنـ عـن عـائـشة أن سـعدا قـال الـلهم إنـء فـأبـقني لـه ملسو هيلع هللا ىلصوأخرجـوه الـلهم فـإين أظـن أنـك قـد وضـعت الحرب بـيننا وبـينهم فـإن كـان بـقي مـن حرب قـريـش يشرعـهم ويف رت مـن لـبته فـلم يـ رهـا واجـعل مـوتـتي فـيها فـانفج رب فـافج حـتى أجـاهـدهـم فـيك وإن كـنت وضـعت الحم يسـيل إلـيهم فـقالـوا يـا أهـل الـخيمة مـا هـذا الـذي يـأتـينا مـن قـبلكم فـإذا سـعد المسجـد خـيمة مـن بـني غـفار إال الـد

يغذو جرحه دما فامت منها ريض الله عنه. [صحیح البخاری:4122]

`Aisha said, "Sa`d said, "O Allah! You know that there is nothing more beloved to me than to fight in Your Cause against those who disbelieved in Your Messenger and turned him out (of Mecca). O Allah! I think you have put to an end the fight between us and them (i.e. Quraish infidels). And if there still remains any fight with the Quraish (infidels), then keep me alive till I fight against them for Your Sake. But if you have brought the war to an end, then let this wound burst and cause my death thereby.' So blood gushed from the wound. There was a tent in the Mosque belonging to Banu Ghifar who were surprised by the blood flowing towards them. They said, 'O people of the tent! What is this thing which is coming to us from your side?' Behold! Blood was flowing profusely out of Sa`d's wound. Sa`d then died because of that رضی اللہ عنہ."

The Prophet (s) quickly took his funeralعـن محـمود بـن لـبيد قـال:ملـا أصـيب أكحـل سـعد يـوم الـخندق فـثقل ، حولوه عـند امرأة يـقال لـها رفـيدة .... حـتى كـانـت الـليلة الـتي نـقله قومـه فـيها فـثقل،فـاحـتملوه إىل بـني عـبد األشهـل إىل مـنازلـهم وجـاء رسول الـله ملسو هيلع هللا ىلصكام كـان يـسأل عـنه وقـالوا:قـد انـطلقوا بـه،فخـرج رسول الـلهملسو هيلع هللا ىلصوخرجـنا مـعه فـأرسع امليش حـتى تـقطعت شـسوع نـعالـنا و سـقطت أرديـتنا عـن أعـناقـنا فـشكا ذلـك إلـيه أصـحابـه يـا رسول الـله أتـعبتنا يف امليش فـقال إين أخـاف أن تسـبقنا املالئـكة إلـيه فتغسـله كام غسـلت حـنظلة،فـانتهـى رسول الـلهملسو هيلع هللا ىلصإىل الـبيت وهـو يغسـل وأمـه تـبكيه وهـي تـقول ويـل أمـك سـعد حزامـة وجـدا،فـقال رسول الـله ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص:كـل نـائـحة تـكذب إال أم سـعد ثـم خـرج بـه قـال:يـقول لـه الـقوم أو مـن شـاء الـله مـنهم يـا رسول الـله مـا حـملنا مـيتا أخـف عـلينا مـن سـعد،فـقال:مـا ميـنعكم مـن أن يـخف عـليكم وقـد هـبط مـن املالئـكة كـذا وكـذا وقـد سـمى عـدة

كثرية مل أحفظها مل يهبطوا قط قبل يومهم قد حملوه معكم [السلسلة الصحيحة:1158] محـمود بـن لبید سـے مروی ہـے کہ جـنگ خـندق میں سـعد رضی الـلہ عـنہ کی بـازو کی رگ کٹ گئی تـوان کی حـالـت وگئی۔ ان کو ایک عـورت کے پـاس مـنتقل کر دیا اس کا نـام رفیدہ تھا۔۔۔یہاں تک کہ وہ رات آگئی کہ ان راب ہـ خـکی قـوم نـے ان کو وہـاں سـےمـنتقل کر دیااور اٹھا کر بـنو عـبداالشھل کے گھروں میں لـے گـئے کہ ان کی حـالـت بـگڑ گئی تھی اور رسـول الـلہ ملسو هيلع هللا ىلصمـعمول کے مـطابـق ان کا پـوچھنے آئـےتـو انھوں نـے کہا کہ وہ ان کو لـے گـئے ہیں ۔رســول الــلہملسو هيلع هللا ىلص نکلے اور ہــم بھی آپملسو هيلع هللا ىلص کے ہــمراہ نکلے ،آپ ملسو هيلع هللا ىلصتیز تیز چــل رہــے تھے یہاں تک کہ ہامرے جـوتـوں کے تـسمے ٹـوٹ گـئے اور ہامری چـادریں گردنـوں سـے گرنـے لـگ پـڑیں تـو صـحابـہ نـے آپملسو هيلع هللا ىلص سـے اس بـات کا شکوہ کیا کہ اے الـلہ کے رسول ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص آپ نـے ہمیں چـلنے میں تھکا دیا ۔آپملسو هيلع هللا ىلصنـے فرمـایا مجھے اس بـات کا ڈر ہـے کہ فرشـتے ان کوغسـل دینے میں ہـم سـے سـبقت نـہ لـے جـائیں جیسے وہ اس سـے پہـلے حـنظلہ کو غسـل دے چکے ہیں ۔رسـول الـلہ ملسو هيلع هللا ىلصان کے گھر پـہنچے تـو ان کو غسـل دیا جـا رہـا تھا اور ان کی مـاں رو رہی تھی اور کہہ رہی تھی اے سـعد! تیری مـاں کی ہـالکت تیری دور انـدیشی اور سـخاوت(کے گـم ہـو جـانـے کی وجـہ سـے) تـو نبی رمـایا ہـر بین ڈالـنے والی جھوٹ کہتی ہـے سـوائـے ام سـعد کے ۔پھر آپ ان کی میت کو لـے کر نکلے او ملسو هيلع هللا ىلصنـے فـرسـارے لوگ یا ان میں سـے جـن کو الـلہ نـے چـاہـا وہ رسول الـلہملسو هيلع هللا ىلصسـےکہتے تھے:اے الـلہ کے رسول ! ہـم نـے کوئی رمـایا :یہ ہلکی کیوں نـہ ہـو میت نہیں اٹھائی جـو ہامرے لـئے سـعدکی میت سـے ہلکی ہـو ۔رسـول الـلہ ملسو هيلع هللا ىلصنـے فـاتنی کثیر تـعداد میں فرشـتے اتـرے ہیں کہ اتنی تـعداد میں وہ پہـلے کبھی نہیں اتـرے وہ بھی متـہارے سـاتھ سـعد

کو اٹھائے ہوئے ہیں ۔آپ نے فرشتوں کی تعداد بھی بتائی تھی لیکن مجھے یاد نہ رہی۔

The Throne shook with happiness at his martyrdomاهتز العرش ملوت سعد بن معاذ من فرح الرب عز وجل [السلسلة الصحيحة:1288]

Allah’s Messenger ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص said: "The Throne of the Lordعــــــــــــــــــز ”.shook because of the death of Sa`d bin Mu`adh وجل

What the Prophet (s) said at his janazahعن جابر بن عبد الله يقول قال رسول الله ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص وجنازة سعد بن معاذ بني أيديهم « اهتز لها عرش الرحمن ». [صحيح

Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported Allah's Messenger (ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص) as saying while the funeral of Sa'd b. Mu'adh was placed before them and due to his (death) the Throne of the most Merciful shook.

The angels carried himعـن أنـس بـن مـالـك قـال لام حـملت جـنازة سـعد بـن مـعاذ قـال الـمنافـقون مـا أخـف جـنازتـه وذلـك لـحكمه يف بـني قـريـظة

فبلغ ذلك النبي صىل الله عليه وسلم فقال إن المالئكة كانت تحمله [سنن الرتمذي:3849]

Narrated Anas bin Malik: "When the funeral of Sa'd bin Mu'adh was carried, the hypocrites said: 'How light his funeral is.' And this was due to his judgment concerning Banu Quraizah. So this reached the Prophet (ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص), and he said: 'Indeed, the angels were carrying him.’"عـن الـحسن البرصي قـال:ملـا مـات سـعد بـن مـعاذ- وكـان رجـال جسـيام جزال- جـعل املـنافـقون وهـم ميـشون خـلف رسيره يـقولـون: مل نـر كـالـيوم رجـال أخـف! وقـالـوا: أتـدرون مل ذاك؟ لـحكمه يف بـني قـريـظة، فـذكـر ذلـك لـلنبي صىل الـله عـليه

وسلم فقال:"والذي نفيس بيده؛ لقد كانت املالئكة تحمل رسيره ". [السلسلة الصحيحة تحت رقم:3347] حـسن برصی سـے مـروی ہـے کہ سـعد بـن مـعاذ فـوت ہـوئـے تـو وہ بھاری بھرکم جـسم والـے تھے ، مـنافـق ان کی چـارپـائی کے پیچھے پیچھے چـل رہـے تھے اور کہہ رہـے تھے ہـم نـے اتـنے کم وزن واال آدمی نہیں دیکھا ۔ اور کہا کہ کیا تـم جـانـتے ہـو ایسا کیوں ہـے ؟ بـنو قـریظہ کا فیصلہ کرنـے کی وجـہ سـے ۔ نبیملسو هيلع هللا ىلص کو یہ بـات بـتائی گئی تـو رمـایا:قـسم اس ذات کی جـس کے ہـاتھ میں میری جـان ہـے ،تحقیق فرشـتے اس کی چـارپـائی اٹھائـے ہـوئـے آپ نـے فـ

تھے۔

70,000 angels were present at his funeralعـن ابـن عـمر قـال: قـال رسـول الـله صىل الـله عـليه وسـلم لـقد نـزل ملـوت سـعد بـن مـعاذ سـبعون ألـف مـلك، مـا وطـئوا

األرض قبلها .... [السلسلة الصحيحه:3345]

Narrated Ibn `Umar, he said that Allah’s Messenger ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص said: 70 thousand angels came down at the death of Sa`d bin Mu`adh, such a large number was not sent down on earth before him.

The gates of the heaven were openedج عنه. [السلسلة الصحيحة:3348] د عليه، ثم فر هذا الرجل الصالح الذي فتحت له أبواب السامء ، شد

Allah’s Messenger ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص said: This pious man (Sa`d bin Mu`adh) for whom the doors of the heavens were opened, [grave] got narrow at him then it was widened.

The grave squeezed himعن عائشة عن النبي ملسو هيلع هللا ىلصقال إن للقرب ضغطة ولو كان أحد ناجيا منها نجا منها سعد بن معاذ [مسند احمد:24283]

Narrated `Aisha that Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص said: The grave squeezes, and if someone was to be saved from being squeezed then Sa`d bin Mu`adh would be saved from it.

The Prophet (s) performed the funeral prayers for him and did tasbeeh for a while at his grave

قـال فلام صىل عـليه عـن جـابـر بـن عـبد الـله األنـصاري قـال خرجـنا مـع رسول الـله ملسو هيلع هللا ىلصيـومـا إىل سـعد بـن مـعاذ حني تـويفنا فـقيل يـا رسول الـله لـم فكرب ي عـليه سـبح رسول الـله ملسو هيلع هللا ىلصفسـبحنا طـويـال ثـم كرب رسول الـله ملسو هيلع هللا ىلصووضـع يف قربه وسـو

الح قربه حتى فرجه الله عز وجل عنه [مسند احمد:14873] ت قال لقد تضايق عىل هذا العبد الص سبحت ثم كرب

Jabir b. Abdillah Ansar (r) reported that on the day that Sa’d b. Muadh passed away, we went out with the Messenger of Allah (s). When the Messenger of Allah (s) performed his funeral prayers, and lowered him in the grave and levelled it (buried him). The Prophet (s) did tasbeeh for a long time, and we also said tasbeeh. Then he said takbeer and we also said takbeer. Someone asked, o Messenger of Allah, why did you say tasbeeh and then takbeer?He (s) said, the grave became tight on a righteous servant until Allah expanded it for him.

Sahabah remembered him and wept

ن أنـت عـن واقـد بـن عـمرو بـن سـعد بـن مـعاذ قـال دخـلت عىل أنـس بـن مـالـك حني قـدم الـمديـنة فسـلمت عـليه فـقال مـمولـه ثـم بىك فـأكرث الـبكاء ثـم قـال إن قـلت أنـا واقـد بـن عـمرو بـن سـعد بـن مـعاذ قـال إن سـعدا كـان أعـظم الـناس وأطـهـب فـلبسه رسول الـله رسول الـلهملسو هيلع هللا ىلصبـعث إىل أكـيدر صـاحـب دومـة بـعثا فـأرسـل إلـيه بـجبة ديـباج مـنسوجـة فـيها الـذثـم قـام عىل المنرب وقـعد فـلم يـتكلم ونزل فـجعل الـناس يـلمسونـها بأيـديـهم فـقال:أتـعجبون مـن هـذه لـمناديـل سـعد ىف

الجنة أحسن مام ترون » [سنن النسائی:5302]

It was narrated that Waqid bin 'Amr bin Sa'd bin Mu'adh said: "I entered upon Anas bin Malik when he came to Madinah and greeted him with Salam. He said: 'Where are you from?' I said: 'I am Wafid bin 'Amr bin Sa'd bin Mu'adh.' He said: 'Sa'd was the greatest and most virtuous of people.' Then he cried and cried a great deal, then he said: 'The Messenger of Allah ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص sent a delegation to Ukaidir the ruler of Dumah, who sent him a Jubbah made of Ad-Dibaj interwoven with gold. The Messenger of Allah ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص put it on, then he stood on the Minbar and sat, without speaking, then he came down and the people started touching it with their hands. He said: 'Are you admiring this? The handkerchiefs of Sa'd in Paradise are more beautiful than what you see.’"- Helivedasamuslimforjust6years!andheachievedsomuch
