OVERVIEW

The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs Society was registered on 12th September 2008 with the primary objective of establishing,

managing, maintaining and running a world class institute, to be called the

Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA).

1. Developing capacity for undertaking holistic study and harmonized treatment of various issues impacting corporate regulation, governance and functioning in the context of emerging international trends and opportunities.

Following are the Training Programmes conducted by ICLS Academy during the year 2013-14:-

1. Induction Training Programmes for ICLS Probationers (PO's)

(i) 23 ICLS Pos (3rd Batch) (CSE-2011) have undergone 9 months training at ICLS Academy, IICA, which concluded on September 20, 2013. The topics covered during the training programme included Companies Act,2013, Companies Act,1956, FEMA, Takeover code, Compulsory Winding Up & Voluntary Winding Up , Analysis of Balance Sheet, Dissolution of Company, Accounts, Inspection of Books and Records IFRS, AS and Ind-AS, Forensic Accounting, Forensic Auditing etc.

(ii) 5 ICLS POs (4th Batch) (CSE-2012) attended the 1st phase of their Induction Training from December 2013 to April 2014. The

ICLS ACADEMY

The ICLS Academy has been entrusted with the responsibility of capacity building of the officers of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and its field of f ices . The fo l lowing are the main functions/responsibilities of ICLS Academy:

(1) To impart Induction Training Programme for ICLS Probationary Officers (POs), who are recruited through Civil Services Examination conducted by UPSC.

(2) To impart mid-career training to the ICLS officers of the Ministry focusing mainly on corporate law, accounts, audit and other relevant laws.

(3) To impart mandatory training to Senior Technical Assistants (STAs), who are in the feeder cadre to ICLS, as per the amended Service Rules applicable to them.

(4) To impart training to the officers and officials posted in the offices of Official Liquidators across the country as per the

training included a field visit to Nestle India Ltd., and training sessions at the National Institute of Security Management (NISM) and at the National Institute of Financial Management (NIFM) The topics covered during the training programme were Companies Act, 2013 and Companies Act,1956, Dissolution of Company, Accounts, Inspection of Books and Records, FEMA, Takeover code, SEBI, Analysis of Balance Sheet, Mitigation of Risk of Fraud as per Companies Act, 2013, Compulsory Winding Up & Voluntary Winding Up etc.

2. Mid-Career Training Programmes for ICLS Officers

The Academy conducted five day Mid-Career Training Programme for ICLS Officers of Ministry of Corporate Affairs. The topics covered in these training programmes were Take over code, Insider Trading, Balance sheet as per Revised Schedule VI, Analysis of Balance Sheet, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), IFRS, AS and Ind-AS, Forensic Accounting, Forensic Technology etc.

The participants and dates of the training programmes are as follows:

I. Training of 15 ICLS Officers (JAG/JAG(NFSG) Level) conducted from May 20 to 24, 2013.

II. Training of 19 ICLS Officer (STS level) conducted from July 15, 2013 to August 19, 2013.

III. Training of 15 ICLS officers (JTS level) conducted from December 9 to 13, 2013

In addition to these programmes, another five days Mid-Career Training Programme was conducted for 11 ICLS Officer (STS level) from March 31, 2014 to April 4, 2014. The topics covered in this training programme were processing of different forms, Company Law, Accounting Standard, Corporate Governance etc.

The Academy also conducted a Short Capsule Course for 16 ICLS Officers (ICLS POs, 3rd Batch)

of Ministry of Corporate Affairs from October 24 to 28, 2013. The topics covered during this programme included Revival of Sick Industries, Corporate Res t ructur ing , Companies Management, Behaviour and Function, Secretarial Audit in view of Companies Act, 2013.

3. Mandatory Training Programmes for Senior Technical Assistants

The Academy conducted training programmes for Senior Technical Assistants of Ministry of Corporate Affairs. The topics covered in these training programmes were processing of different forms, Company Law, Accounts, Noting & Drafting etc.

The participants and dates of the training programmes are as follows:

I. Training of 20 Senior Technical Assistants conducted from April 22, 2013 to May 17, 2013.

II. Training of 17 Senior Technical Assistants conducted from September 23, 2013 to October 22, 2013.

III. Training of 12 Senior Technical Assistants conducted from February 3 to 28, 2014.

4. Training to Officers & Officials of Official Liquidator(OL), Delhi attached to the High Court, Delhi

Trainings of the first, second and third batch of officers and officials of OL, Delhi, were conducted from June 17, 2013 to July 12, 2013, from July 29, 2013 to August 27, 2013 and from December 16, 2013 to January 13, 2014, respectively.

The topics covered under the programmes were Winding up of Companies, Powers of Liquidator, Dissolution of Company, Analysis of Balance Sheet, Inspection of Books and Records, The Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002 (SARFAESI), Recovery of Debt Dues to Banks and Financial Institutions Act, 1993 (RDDBFI), etc.

guests representing the regulatory authorities, industry, and government. The training programme aimed at making the participants aware of the competition law principles so that they orient their practices, conduct, business strategies, and policies consistent with the provisions of competition law.

n regulatory framework on the anvil of Competition Law

November 16, 2013

The School organised a Roundtable on Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Framework at New Delhi.

The conference was organised with the objective of sensitizing the senior officials of the Ministry and public sector enterprises on the potential impact of competition law on the petroleum and natural gas sector, the need for which was felt in interactions with various stakeholders.

n Curricula Consultation Meeting For Long Term Courses on Competition Law and Market Regulation

May 10, 2013

Taking the partnership forward between IICA and the National Law school of India University (NLSIU), a Curricula consultation Meeting was organised at New Delhi. The meeting aimed to seek valuable inputs and feedback from various stakeholders to develop a curriculum which will address their knowledge and skill needs. Moreover, the meeting was organised to ensure that the course structure and content would be designed in a manner that is more meaningful in terms of employability and receptive to the concerns and requirements of the industry. Members and officials of the regulatory bodies, senior government officials, lawyers, private sector representatives, professionals, and experts from diverse backgrounds dealing with competition issues participated in the meeting.

n Two Day's Residential Training Course on Competition Law for Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies

August 2 & 3, 2013

The School organized a "Two Day residential training course on Competition Law for Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies" at Manesar, for fulfilling the imminent training needs of the officials and decision makers at the public sector oil marketing companies in order to understand and apply competition law compliance principles in their commercial transactions. Designed for senior and mid-level executives and officials working on compliance, regulatory, marketing and commercial aspects, the training witnessed the participation of distinguished

n and Competition in Telecom Sector

November 18 and 19, 2013

The National Institute of Communication Finance (NICF), an institute under the Ministry of Communication & IT, organised a two-day capacity building 'Residential Training Course on Regulation and Competition in Telecom Sector', 2013 in partnership with IICA.

The training course, organised with the objective of enabling the policy makers of telecom authority to understand and apply competition law in their decision making, was attended by 21 senior and mid level officials nominated by the DoT.

The training course shed light on the following topics - Regulatory Framework Governing Telecom Sector in India, Challenges and Opportunities in Indian Telecom Sector: The Way Forward, Competition Issues in the Telecom Sector, Green Telecom, Team building & Unity and Combinations in the Telecom Sector.

n Training workshop on 'Competition Law & High Tech Markets'

December 20, 2013

The School organised a one day workshop on Competition Law & High tech Markets at Manesar, to facilitate the understanding of the effect of regulation on competitive market structure and conduct among executives across

Residential Training Course on Regulation functional areas in the High-Tech Markets. In addition, it was felt that the lawyers and competition professionals entrusted with the duty to render legal advice to the corporates need to develop skills relating to economics of antitrust analysis.

The rationale for the workshop was that clarity and ability to deal with the evolving competition regulatory regime would help align business decisions and ensure conduct commensurate with the law. The specific objective of the workshop was to conduct specialised and parallel tracks for lawyers'/economists, and industry professionals.

The workshop was divided into four specialised sessions in parallel tracks, where the participants representing a diverse group of lawyers & economists with expertise in competition law and mid and senior level business executives operating at various levels of policy formulation, compliance and regulatory affairs got an opportunity to directly interact with the experts on diverse areas of competition law and market regulation. The participants representing law firms included partner and associates & senior associates from Amarchand & Mangaldas, Khaitan & Co, Vaish associates, AZB & Partners.

Economists, attorneys and legal counsels representing organisations such as ELP, EconOne, Genesis Analytics, E &Y, Microsoft, Intel, & Google also participated in the workshop.

Conclave on Integrated Reporting

May 24, 2013

IICA and the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) jointly conducted a Round Table Conclave on Integrated Reporting - Perspectives & Prospects at New Delhi, to discuss the Draft Consultation Paper issued by the International Council of Integrated Reporting.

A presentation summarizing the consultation paper was delivered by Prof. Asish K. Bhattacharyya, who was also the convener for the event. The presentation was followed by discussion on the key question - 'Whether India requires Integrated Reporting in the prescribed Framework?

n Two-Day Residential Programme on Risk

Management & Internal Audit

June 13-15, 2013

IICA in collaboration with ICWAI Management Accounting Research Foundation (ICWAI MARF), promoted by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, organised a two-day residential programme on “Risk Management and Internal Audit” at Manesar, to provide an understanding of the enterprise r isk management system and the concept of risk-based internal audit.

The Global Conference on Sustainability and Reporting, held in Amsterdam brought together over 1800 delegates from 80 countries representing business, finance, accountancy, consultancy, civil society, government and academia. The Conference comprised of plenary sessions on key global and regional issues conducted by eminent speakers, interactive sessions with the audience, and presentations on sustainability and reporting situation in different countries and regions, covering regulatory developments and other current issues like integrated reporting.

The India delegation was led by the DG & CEO, IICA, Dr. Bhaskar Chatterjee, and the 45 member delegation comprised of senior officials from various Ministries, regulators and policy makers, South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA), Institute of Chartered Accountants; Institute of Cost and Works Accountants, high level representatives from businesses and business associations, civil society, academia, think tank bodies and media. The Indian Sessions were focused on sharing India's journey in sustainability reporting and national trends of reporting

Practices in India: Retrospect and Prospects'

February 14-15, 2014

The School organised a Two-Day Residential National Research Workshop on 'Corporate Governance Practices in India: Retrospect and Prospects' at Manesar Campus with the aim of identifying new areas of research in Corporate Governance and issues emerging in the current scenario, and analysing how the Companies Act, 2013 would change the landscape of corporate management and governance in our country.

The workshop brought together research scholars and faculty from across India and different institutions/ Universities of inter-disciplinary studies to deliberate on issues and themes related to Corporate Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility.

The School along with ICWAI Management Accounting Research Foundation (promoted by Institute of Cost Accountants of India) organised an 'Orientation Programme for Company Directors' at Goa, with the objective of providing a platform for discussion of important issues in the implementation of the Companies Act, 2013 and its underlying corporate governance issues.

n Intensive Credit Management

February 17-March 1, 2014

The School of Finance conducted a two-week Corporate Finance Programme on Intensive Credit Management for Syndicate Bank Executives to provide participants an insight into lending to the corporate sector. The programme was organised at IICA Manesar.

The programme, which was attended by 30 executives from Syndicate Bank, was organised to help field functionaries in taking sound lending decisions. The programme envisaged a thorough concept building of every aspect of lending to mid & large corporates. It sought to simulate practical situations that replicate decision making events under different circumstances, through case studies.

A meeting was organised at the IICA campus, Manesar, wherein incubatees were invited to discuss plans for creating strong IPR policies. The meetings shed light on best practices for Incubation and connecting the civil society and developing sustainable methods. Development of essential ingredients for investors and corporates such as code of conduct, IPR creation and commercialization, investors relations, and revenue streams were also discussed.

The major blueprint formulated at IICA included developing incubation guidel ines for companies by larger companies for technology or business innovation as part of their CSR spend. Also, IICA will incubate companies that will implement and execute sustainable projects to incorporate three d imens ions o f performance, i.e., social, environmental and financial and Entry-Exit Policy. IICA will set up an Innovation Fund to facilitate business and growth of start-ups. Towards graduation, the exit is proposed through Technology transfer/ IPR utilization or maturity to scale up and serve the community.

IICA took part in an event on 'Responsible

Business Conduct, OECD Guidelines & National

Voluntary Guidelines' organised in Bangalore.

The seminar discussed the points of

convergence between India's National

n 2012 held in Chandigarh & Pune

IICA organised the fourth and the fifth National Conference on Companies Bill, 2012 at Chandigarh and Pune on May 14, 2013 and June 8, 2013, respectively. The Chandigarh conference was held in collaboration with the Institute for Development and Communication (IDC). Various technical sessions held during the conference shed light on topics such as Companies Bill, 2012 and their implications, role, responsibility and accountability of independent Directors, rotation of auditors, restriction on advisory services by auditors, and Corporate Governance & Transparency. An AMCHAM - CSR Committee Meeting was held at Gurgaon to discuss the vision, agenda and roadmap for the Committee. The meeting was attended by AMCHAM Committee Members, Mr. Deepak Jolly, Chairman, CSR Committee and Ms. Kini Ohri, Secretariat, AMCHAM Committee & Program Coordinator. Mr. Nikhil Pant from NFCSR, IICA, was invited as the guest speaker. On the occasion of the World Environment Day, IICA and the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industries (PHDCCI) organised a one - day conference titled "Environmentally Responsible Industry & Beyond: Clean Ganga & Green Uttarakhand" at Dehradun.

The conference highlighted the issue of industries rampantly discharging their wastes into rivers in Uttrakhand. It also discussed the future plan of action to control pollution in the River Ganga, which is increasing due to industrial waste, sewage, tourism etc. The event emphasized on the need to formulate separate policies for industries and to promote non - polluting and environment friendly activities.

A one day National Conference on Clause - 135 of Companies Bill, 2012 was organised at Chennai. The conference highlighted the catalytic role of the Bill in creating an enabling environment for well - structured, long-term CSR strategies and projects that can effectively solve the social, economic, and environmental issues in the country. Other aspects such as Philanthropy vs CSR vs Business, CSR in the Indian Scenario and the Regulatory Landscape, provision of the Bill on CSR Policy and spending by companies were also discussed.

IICA organised three national capacity building workshops in the months of May, June and July 2013 at Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore to develop a clear understanding of the spirit and the intent of Business Responsibility Reporting (BRR) and to help companies to make effective and smart compliance on the issue., The workshops provided guidance on preparation of meaningful BRR reports and to begin the process of aligning the internal processes of the companies to the NVGs to derive long term sustainability benefits, the fundamental objective of the NVGs.

IDFC Foundation, established by IDFC Limited, India's leading infrastructure financing intermediary, organised its flagship annual conference to commemorate its second anniversary at New Delhi. The theme of the conference was “CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) or SRC (Socially Responsible Corporates) - the route to nation building”. The conference saw discussions over corporate affairs, and how CSR should be looked at as something beyond mere compliance with the new Companies Act, 2013. The NFCSR conducted the second in the IICA Round Table Series 2014: CSR as a Value P r o p o s i t i o n f o r P r o m o t i n g S o c i a l Entrepreneurship, in partnership with Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies.

The Roundtable started with a welcome address delivered by Prof. Debashis Sanyal, Dean, School of Business Management, Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (SVKM's NMIMS).

Dr. Sanyal laid emphasis on the importance of inclusivity if India wants to contribute to creating global value. The issue of reducing inequalities needs to be addressed by business as it will otherwise lead to greater inequalities and the gap between the have and have-nots will continue to increase.

The second National CSR Summit - 2014 “CSR and Sustainability: A Value Proposition for Business” was organised in association with The United Nations Global Compact Network India, at Mumbai. IICA was the Summit Partner.

The summit was divided into three technical sess ions that shed l ight on var ious opportunities, challenges and issues involved in leveraging Corporate Social Responsibility for carrying forward the benefits of growth to the masses. The summit also deliberated upon the changing dynamics of CSR.

IICA in collaboration with Partners in Change, NGOBOX and Fiinovation organised a pioneering conference 'Better Education through CSR' at New Delhi, with the objective of learning from leaders about the different models of CSR partnerships in the education sector and providing networking opportunities to scale up innovations in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility.

The conference brought various actors together under one roof to deliberate on fostering partnerships that will take the idea of better education forward.

The forum deliberated on the issues of availability and access to quality education facilitated through multiple partners of CSR like corporations, government and civil society as well as on further scope for innovations.

Mr. Nikhil Pant, NFCSR, represented IICA at the Global Finance Strategies Roundtable held at New Delhi.

The roundtable which brought together government, donors, public-private partnership principals, international NGOs and national NGOs under one roof, was organised to examine the shift in funding for international health and development, the impact on local and international partners and possible solutions and responses to these trends.

Non-profit organisations, Landesa and Oxfam, organized a National Media Workshop on “Why do women need property rights?” at New Delhi.

Participants at the workshop from IICA were Prof. P R R Nair and Ms. Shashikala, along with others.

Global Finance Strategies Roundtable

The workshop shed light on how women's property rights are limited globally by social norms, customs and at times legislation, lowering their economic status and hampering other opportunities. The workshop was organised with the objective of discussing how ownership of land and property empowers women and provides income and security and also to create awareness among women regarding their right to property.

March 5, 2014

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce India (SCCI) along with Sandvik Asia conducted a half day workshop that focused on the requirements specified in the new CSR Rules, the global progress in CSR and sustainability and the Indian Corporate's perspective of CSR.

The workshop was ideally timed in view of the Companies Act, 2013. Considered a first of its kind, the new legislation requires a certain class of companies in India to spend 2 percent of their three year average annual net profit towards CSR activit ies. The workshop was an opportunity for community based organisations and Corporations to collaborate with each other and discuss their CSR initiatives.

The workshop was chaired by the DG & CEO of IICA and graced by the presence of Mr. Pooran Pandey, Executive Director UN Global Compact Network India and Dr. Anand Vasudevan, Head, Sustainability and Strategy at Accenture. Ms. Chetna Kaura, Chief Programme Executive, NFCSR, IICA, also attended the workshop.

IICA and Samabhavana Society collaborate in capacity building of NGOs and Social Enterprises

Samabhavana Society, a non-profit community based organisation, conducted a series of training workshops for NGOs and Social Enterprises, with the support of Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs across India.

The 3Cs (Capacity, Capability and Connects) Training Workshop was organised in four geographical zones (Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata and Delhi).

The workshop was organized on February 17 & 18 at Mumbai, February 21 & 22 at Bangalore, March 13 & 14 at New Delhi and March 20 & 21 at Kolkata.

The series of workshops were organised to bridge the gap between the partnerships essential between NGOs and Corporates engaged in CSR, so as to help them identify their core strengths to create shared value for sustainability, thereby creating an enabling environment for strategic CSR and social innovation.

NFCSR aims to build an enabling environment for the corporate sector to work in partnership with the Government, Non-Government and Civil Society Organizations, as well as local community organizations for effective contribution towards sustainable growth and development.

Towards this objective, the Foundation has created an IICA Certificate Programme (ICP) in CSR. It is a 9 months training programme

ICP - CSR Course developed by IICA

formulated for developing trained and certified CSR Professionals in the country to meet the burgeoning requirement for such professionals in the light of new implications emerging out of Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013.

The Foundation signed agreements on October 3 and 9, 2013 at IICA, New Delhi with 14 Organisations as partners in the development of a pilot batch of at least 200 CSR Professionals in 2014. Dr Bhaskar Chatterjee, DG & CEO, IICA & the NFCSR team were present at the signing of Agreement. The final selection of Master Trainers for ICP in CSR from these organisations was conducted on October 25, 26 and 28, 2013 at IICA, Manesar, through a four-round process of Essay Writing; Mock Lecture; Online Chat and Interview. 47 trainers appeared for the selections of which 40 were finally selected.

the Partner Organisations on December 26, 2013 at Hotel Janpath, New Delhi to discuss the Terms & Conditions (T&C) of the Agreement to be signed with each Partner by IICA.

IICA signed an MoU with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on September 23, 2013. An important deliverable stated therein is the development of a CSR Index.

With this objective, an Advisory Committee (AC) to develop the CSR Index was set up in October 2013 comprising of senior officials from the IICA and the BSE. The members of the committee from IICA were Mr. Atul Dev Sarmah, Head, Centre for IP&CC, Ms. Chetna Kaura, CPE, NFCSR, Mr. Nikhil Pant, CPE, NFCSR. The first meeting of the AC was held at IICA, Manesar on November 1, 2013. It deliberated on the process and parameters to be adopted for the development and launch of the CSR Index post the first reporting in March 2015. A Joint letter was sent to approximately 1400 BSE listed companies that qualify under the Act, in December 2013, apprising them of the CSR Index, its concept, the roll-out dynamics and welcoming them to partner in the development process through consultations etc. A number of companies have so far responded positively.

Various organisations were invited for Development of training modules and certified training sessions for the Corporate Sector on Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR), and assisting in strategy formulation for the formation of a Global Gateway for CSR.

Twenty four organisations appeared for a presentation before an IICA Selection Committee on October 7, 8 & 18, 2013 at the IICA Campus, Manesar. The following 10 organizations were selected after due scrutiny and assessment: KPMG, Partners In Change, TERI, Samhita, E&Y, Price Waterhouse Cooper Pvt. Ltd., SOSVA(Society for Service to Voluntary Agencies ) Training and Promotion Institute, D e l o i t t e , C e n t r e f o r E n v i r o n m e n t Education(CEE), and NextGen Pvt. Ltd. All selected organisations submitted an Action Plan based on their capabilities and the perceived CSR roll-out need in the country by November 20, 2013.

A meeting, headed by the DG & CEO, IICA, was conducted on December 3, 2013 at FAZAL Chamber, SCOPE Complex, New Delhi, for allocation of thematic CSR Services to the 10 selected CSR Gateway & Training partners. Another round of consultation was held with

Chamber, SCOPE Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. The meeting was chaired by the DG & CEO, IICA. A total of five members were present apart from the NFSCR staff who attended the meeting.

A Gap – Analysis process was initiated by the I ICA to capture requirements in the development sector where the CSR capital that will soon be available from Financial Year 2014-15 must be directed for creating a catalytic impact. Exhaustive literature would be developed as part of action research out of such deliberation as an ongoing process in order to inform CSR Policy formulation in companies as also use as teaching-learning material in IICA CSR trainings.

The first roundtable 'CSR as a Value Proposition for Education in India' was conducted on December 18, 2013, at New Delhi. It was conducted in partnership with Teach for India and Central Square Foundation, two leading organisations working on child development and education. The event was attended by a total number of 110 participants out of which 38 were from corporates, 46 from NGOs, 10 from PSUs and 14 were others.

MEETINGS, PRESENTATIONS AND ENGAGEMENTS OF THE NFCSR

A session on CSR Rules Awareness was organized in partnership with KPMG, on October 17, 2013 at Mumbai. The event, which was addressed by the DG&CEO, IICA, was attended by over 30 representatives from corporate CSRs.

On November 14, 2013, a luncheon meeting with Ms. Nancy Powell, US Ambassador to India, was organized to explore CSR prospects for US interests in India. DG & CEO, IICA and Mr. Nikhil Pant, Chief Programme Executive, National Foundation for CSR (NFCSR) IICA were invited.

A presentation to the Planning Commission was made by the DG & CEO, IICA on Section 135, Companies Act, 2013 on November 27, 2013.

IICA was invited by American Express Leadership Academy to be part of a panel to guide and mentor budding NGO leaders, on December 4, 2013. Mr. Nikhil Pant, Chief Programme Executive, National Foundation for CSR (NFCSR) IICA, conducted a session on the Companies Act, 2013 and how the civil society leaders could leverage this as an opportunity to align themselves with the national development sector agenda.

IICA took part in “Responsible Growth; a

CII Seminar on Inclusive Development &

Business Imperative” - a one day conference on Inclusive Development and Sustainability, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) at Mumbai.

The programme focused on policy solutions for forging the growth agenda and use of natural resources in an efficient and evolved way.

The event also shed light on other issues such as competitive solutions to keep environmental impact to the minimum, adequate control on consumption of energy and other natural resources, focus on faster cultivation of inclusiveness of human and social elements to bring about radical changes in the eco system and making a business case for sustainability.

IICA supported the non-profit organisation Greentech Foundation in organising a two day National meet on Environment & CSR at Chandigarh.

The event brought together approximately 360 E n v i r o n m e n t a n d C o r p o r a t e S o c i a l Responsibility (CSR) professionals and experts who exchanged views and knowledge on "Aligning Sustainabil ity and CSR with Organizational Goals".

publications include training materials &

modules, annual reports, regulatory acts,

among others. The KRC is designed to subscribe

to and subsequently provide access to online full

text journals. Classified under the DDC 23

method, the resources of the IICA KRC are

acquired on demand and on expert approval,

thereby ensuring both the quality of publication

and its relevance to the subject. The resources

are available in digital format listing to ensure

ease of manageability and classification. In

addition to the qualified professionals who deal

Dr. S.Y. Quraishi, former Chief Election

Commissioner of India, delivered a lecture on

Social Issues and CSR at IICA Campus, Manesar.

Dr. Quraishi discussed the current social issues

in India such as poverty, unemployment, lack of

education, hunger, sanitation, and women's

health etc. The Director General and CEO of IICA

concluded the lecture with a vote of thanks and

appreciated the organisers for taking such

initiatives.
