IHC Education Summit Brings Together High School Educators

International Horizons College (IHC) hosted its Education Summit 2013 on its campus in downtown

Dubai. Over 50 high school counselors from throughout the United Arab Emirates, Middle East, North

Africa and South Asia attended the three day event.

discussions with peers on common issues they face, college counselors from throughout the region

learned new counseling techniques and shared best practices while extending their professional

Counselors representing high schools from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, Turkey, Pakistan and

India attended various workshops covering a variety of topics including:

Resources available for counselors to assist students in the admission processes to the elite US universities

Strategies for counselors to assist students in choosing their majors/fields of interest and the selection of university

Presentation on college life and coping with personal challenges The IHC Education Summit included senior representatives presenting in workshops from the University

of California Berkeley, Rutgers University and University of Vermont.

At the conclusion of first day activities IHC hosted a Gala Dinner for the IHC board of trustees,
