If you’re not from Alabama, you don’t know Huntsville.

The U. S. Space and Rocket Center is the largest in the world.

The space shuttle is as tall as a ten story sky scraper.

If you’re not from Alabama, you don’t know about our famous people.

Rosa Parks was as brave as Martin Luther King.

She would not give up her seat, which led to the Montgomery bus boycott.

If you’re not from Alabama,you don’t know peanuts.

George Washington Carver, an educator at

the Tuskegee Institute, discovered

more than 300 products that could be made from peanuts.

Peanuts look like the number eight.

If you’re not from Alabama, You don’t know cotton.

Cotton grows in the sticky black soil known as the Black Belt.

Cotton is as white as snow.

If you’re not from Alabama, You don’t know about Civil Rights.

The Birmingham Civil Rights Institute was built to honor those who died fighting for equal rights.

The museum is as important as freedom.

If you’re not from Alabama, You don’t know Vulcan.

Vulcan is a statue which symbolizes the iron and

steel industry. Vulcan is as grey as

steel. Vulcan is as tall as half a

football field. Vulcan weighs as much

as 10 monster trucks.

If You’re not from Alabama, You don’t know about our beaches.

The Alabama coastline is part of beautiful Gulf of Mexico.

The sand is like white sugar. The water is as blue as the sky.
