A Short term course on Computer Internet & Smartphone Awareness was successfully

conducted at IETE Ahmedabad Centre during Dt. 18

2017. The course was planned to help women, housewife, to increase awareness about

computer and smart phone applications. Total 9 participant completed the course. The

course was nicely conducted and coordinated by Mrs. Preet

members.

Mr. Bhargav Padia, Mr. Ananth shah faculty taught the participants about Microsoft word,

Excel and Power point presentation. - how to use and its function and make practice in

practice. They paind personal attention to individual participant. Smart phone awareness

topics cover by Mrs. Preeti Agrawal. Participants get more information of mobile settings

and download applications like Ola app. Central Bank officer Ms. Sarita very useful

information about net banking , account transfer, payment and account information also

can see from your home or any place and many more important features of online banking

Valedictory functions held at IETE Ahmedabad Centre on 25th

Usha Neelkantan- HOD EC, LD College of Engineering was Chief Guest. Deep pragatya and

prayer in start of the function. Shri K. K. Mehta Hon Treasurer welcomed the Chief guest

with bouquet. all dignitaries on dais also welcomed with flower Bouquet. Shri V. K. Jain

chairman congratulate to all participants with successful completion of course and their

interest. All the Course Participants Shared their views, ppt presentation of each students

displayed when their view sharing to all. All are very happy and eager to know more then

they learn from their faculty. Time duration may be increased and each participants need

Feed back from the Participants:-

Mrs. Minu Garg : Computer are very useful nowadays. I wanted to learn from many years

but could not got enough time. IETE has given a chance to learn in our available time i.e.

afternoon. Enjoyed the learning things very much. Try to do practice and I will learn

more.

Mrs. Sadhana Jain : Very much happy to do this course and now interested to learn more-

for power point presentation and also more about computer. Ghar se bahar nikal ke

bahut acchha laga. Thank you IETE for encouraging all of us in this age.

Mrs. Shilpa Gajjar: Time duration was short as per awareness course, I needs more time to

learn in details. She suggested to conduct this type of course in details and increase the

time in future. She liked the effort done by IETE, faculty members and all. Good time and

enjoy learning very freely and friendly.

Mrs. Kashmira Gajjar : A very good step by Institution for helping Women empowerment

in this course. Thankful to IETE for organizing, all faculty and staff members for good

interaction and special attention.

Mrs. Jayshree Shah: Liked to learn computer but due to other commitments and work, I

could not spend time at home for practice. Hence from this course now at least I

understood what is computer and know the uses of computer and internet . Now I will try

to do some file preparation in word and excel sheet preparation at home.

Mrs. Hetal Movaliya: I know about the Word, Excel and PowerPoint . I join this course for

the purpose of internet banking and Digital payment and to learn about smart phone

features in details. Session was very interesting with bank officer by practical knowledge

given by her like application download of bank, own account display and transfer amount

in her other account and online payment by internet.

Mrs. Shail Jain : - I liked very much to learn basics, Learned new things, All faculty taught

with interest and encouragement. I don't know, how much I could learn, but Ghar Se Bahar

kee Hava Lagi Yeh Bahut Badi Uplabdhee

Mr. Kiritkumar Bhatti: Nice experience Refreshed old experience, as I was out of touch

especially with computer. Smart phone was serving all purposes so need not go to PC.

This awareness programs taught me many thing in smart phone. I would like to be a faculty

for course in future to help household women.

Mr. Prakash Shah: Informative course about computer and smart phone. I learn many

things about computer and internet. Useful information about smart phone settings, uses

and downloading applications.

Course coordinator Mrs. Preeti Agrawal said that she has never taught students like this

batch before, because they all were very enthusiastic and also keen learner. The Chief guest

Prof. Usha Neelakantan delivered motivating speech and explained the necessity and also

suggested to apply in regularly in life. Chief Guest distributed Certificates Course Participant

and faculty members.

Participants sharing views about course and certificate given by chief guest

Coordinator and Faculty admired the participant's interest, zeal and understanding. It was

concluded that such courses to be conducted regularly for much longer duration.

Chairman proposed to Conduct higher level courses for Degree/ Post Graduate/

Diploma/Technician Level Courses in Computer/ IT and EC disciplines within

their resources. He also wish to express similar course to the ladies every month and

suggested all participant to do regular practice at IETE premises till they become fully

competent and assured that IETE faculty and staff will extend their support.

The need also felt to Conduct NORAD types courses again similar to past in case grant is

approved exclusively for Lady.

At the end vote of thanks was given by Shri R. M. Makwana Hon. Secretary and

Chairman invited gathering for high tea.
