"We don't have any inter-cloud standards. The current cloud situation is similar to the lack of communication and familiarity among computer networks in 1973.” “I'm seeing a possibility of inter-cloud problems mirroring the Internet problems we had thirty or forty years ago.” -- Vint Cerf, Vice President and Chief Internet Evangelist, Google

• An Open Source project • Architecture Similar to
Internet Routing protocols, with Autonomous System and distributed capabilities concepts
• Roots, Exchanges, and Gateway Cloud Implementation Independent – Openstack, VMware, C12G, MS, ..
• Identity and Trust scheme • Uses Semantic Resource
definitions to federate any imaginable IaaS or PaaS resource, and to allow for dynamic SDN based federation network transport

P2301 - Guide for Cloud Portability and Interoperability Profiles (CPIP)
This guide advises cloud computing ecosystem participants (cloud vendors, service providers, and users) of standards-based choices in areas such as application interfaces, portability interfaces, management interfaces, interoperability interfaces, file formats, and operation conventions. This guide groups these choices into multiple logical profiles, which are organized to address different cloud personalities.

IEEE Adaptive Management for Cloud Computing (AMCC) SG
This study group will investigate potential application for adaptive, policy-based management in cloud based environments. This investigation will include adaptive management architectures and environments, adaptive security management, auto-generation of management policies from business specifications, auto-generation of data in support of management functionality, and co-generation of application and management functionality.
