Year 3/4 News… Cyberbullying and online safety
Yesterday Years 3-6 participated in an online Adobe Connect with many other schools from around Australia as apart of National Child Protection Week. This presentation focused on Cyberbullying and blackmail that can occur online. Students discussed trust issues and learnt to respect others values and rights on social media. One very controversial discussion topic between students was that of the recommended age of 'Fortnite'. Did you know that 'Fortnite' is not recommended for kids under the age of 12 years old and other social media such as Snapchat, Facebook and Instagram are 13 years of age. Mrs B, Mrs T & Miss S

Stage 3 Excursion…
Thank you to those parents who have either paid off or have started paying off their children’s camp. This is just a reminder that there are only 3 weeks until the end of term and the final payment is due the first week back in Term 4, but would be preferred by end of Term 3. There are now no places available and those who have only paid a deposit by the end of this term must be paid in full by week 1 of term 4 . If not paid we can start to make places available to those on the waiting list.

The Ocean - by Mea Stoneham
The water is calm and relaxing. Slow waves come by the sea shore. The beautiful sounds of the waves and the sand between my toes. The wonderful breeze on my nose and my family with me.
Miss Johnson
Sports News We would like to wish Ella Williams good luck and best wishes when she competes in the North Coast Athletics in Lismore next week in her 100m age race.
Mr M
Kindergarten Congratulations to all the Kinder students who are doing their home reading each night! They are continually improving in their reading which is fantastic. Even if home reading can’t be done every night, a few nights a week is better than none at all. Also, don’t forget to continue to read wonderful books to your children - it is the main precedent to becoming a competent reader with a love of books. Have a great week!

Lombok (Mangsit Village) Fundraising Thank you to everyone who helped with this fundraiser. We raised just over $1000 and this will go directly to the village of Mangsit to help in reconstruction of damaged homes and schools.
