White horse hair is already flying; are you ready to shed your own heavy layers of clothing? The mud room has been the closet for insulated and waterproof boots, low and high; snow cleats; insulated overalls; waterproof jacket with a liner and a hood; waterproof gloves, glove liners, insulated gloves; a face mask; hats that deflect rain, snow, and wind; and a scarfor two that don't attract bits of hay. Of course, that doesn't even include the light and heavywool-blend socks in varying lengths, long underwear available in at least two weights in the dresser drawer, long-sleeved turtlenecks, and denims or sweats as the base layer.

Are you anxious to clip those necks and wild bridle paths? Time to call your farrier to trim hooves? Bathing and grooming supplies ready for the season? Clippers tuned up and blades sharpened? Vaccinations scheduled? Are teeth grinding evenly and ready for comfortably holding a bit? Harnesses cleaned? Fly masks ready? To get in the mood for showing and

socializing with horse friends, be sure to click on Events when you go to www.idahominiaturehorseclub.com, where you'll be able to access show bills for the fuzzy shows. Also, dates for some Miniature Horse registry shows, the ISHSA Spring Double Point show, and the desensitizing play day are listed. All of the fuzzy shows and the desensitizing play day are being held at the Birt arena.

COMING ATTRACTION “MEMBER SPOTLIGHT”Next month we will be featuring two of our club members in the Idaho Miniature Horse Club Newsletter. This new section allows our members toget better acquainted with each other. Each month, we will be contacting two members who will have the opportunity to tell their story about, why they have joined our club, what activities they would like to do with their mini’s, whether they are new mini owners or about their YEARS of experiences with their mini’s or even their time with their big horses.

We are excited about this new feature, as we want to continue to make our club fun, friendly and enthusiastic. It’s going to be a great year!!

Lynne Wing will contact you for your own spotlight issue!
