Improvements/updates to code

• a number of bug fixes

• refactored and optimized reconstruction code

• particle density fluctuations are now distributed log-normally. This leads to a self-consistent description of fluctuations (previously density fluctuations had to be rescaled to yield reasonable results)

• a new SAF (Stefan Arne Fabian) parameterization of density term is implemented. A new parameter describes the curvature of the particle density growth with distance and may turn out to be useful to separate photonic from ionic showers.

Summary

• IceTop reconstruction in rime is quite mature. It includes the latest LDF function and other developments

• It handles geometrical (shower front fit) reconstruction and LDF fit in one symmetric step, treating both as respective contributions to the llh function

• several bugs were found and fixed; the code was somewhat refactored and optimized.
