Vendor Testing Surveys

• ICD-10 Vendor Testing Surveys are issued to collect the following information: o The type of testers participating (MCE, EDI, etc.) o The type of transactions and/or processes to be tested (837I,

837P, extracts, etc.) o The availability of the tester to test (select a time period)

• Survey I o Completed with lower than expected results o Fewer responses than anticipated o Issued prior to the CMS announcement of the ICD-10

implementation date of October 1, 2014

Vendor Testing Surveys

• Survey 2 o Scheduled to be sent second quarter of 2013. Information will

be posted to the ICD-10 Testing page and a pre-survey email notice sent.

o Purpose is the same as for Survey 1. However, Survey 2 addresses the vendor testing scheduled to begin January 2014.

o The goal is to gather tester information from all entities. o The intent is to limit the number of testing entities that need

to be contacted individually by the EDI Unit about testing.
