    About the Promoter

    The Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture MCCIA, as it is popularly knownis recognized as one of the most pro-active chambers in India, and has played a leading role inMaharashtra since 1934.

    MCCIA is lending its influence to the ICC project - not just with assistance, advice, andrepresentation at ministerial and departmental levels, but also by ensuring its physical presence inthe complex with offices for itself. This proposed International Convention Centre is one moreproof of its outstanding record to the business community and to the State's development.

    In recent years, the Chamber has focused on Pune's core competencies such as informationtechnology, biotechnology, agri-business, engineering, automotive and auto ancillaries,electronics, environmental technologies, and chemicals.     About the Project

    International Convention Centre

    The International Convention Centre (ICC), at one of the emerging nerve centres of Pune SenapatiBapat Road - is promoted by Pune's august Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and

    Agriculture (MCCIA) a private enterprise of industry leaders.

    Technically sound, energy efficient, aesthetically appealing buildings complement each other. Theproposed built-up area is approximately 2.2 million sq ft, and comprises three major offerings:

    ICC Trade TowerICC Trade Tower is registered with Software Technology Parks of India, comprises. of office blocksand showrooms, with World-class facilities - in the most 'intelligent' ambience conceivable only indeveloped countries. ICC Trade Tower has a total development size of 475,000 sq. ft., floor Plate of60,000 sq. ft., multi-level parking system with 2 level basements.

    ICC Tech parkICC Tech has Two office blocks of 150,000 sq ft and 170,000 sq. ft. each, with large floor plates of20,000 sq. ft. (Approx.)

    S L Kirloskar Convention CentreSL Kirloskar Convention Centre has an open-air exhibition ground, an art gallery, function rooms,auditoriums, a 320 room five-star hotel, shopping mall and entertainment areas on the lines ofinternational standards.

    The project is being designed by architects - SAA from Singapore, RKA from Delhi and P G Patkiand Associates from Mumbai. The design, the concept and the facilities offered in the ICC TradeTowers will transform Pune's skyline and put Pune on the map of the world. Only two otherconvention centres worldwide, one in Shanghai (China) and the other in Dusseldorf (Germany)compare with ICC.

    In addition, the project will accommodate various business support requirements, and a range ofother value additions designed to make this a truly South Asia's largest composite trade andconvention centre.

    Location of the Project

    On the regional scale, the site is nestled in the heart of the lush green city of Pune, with themountaintops as a backdrop. Senapati Bapat Road, Pune's IT & commercial hub already housesmajor multinationals like BMC Software, Persistent, Fusion Technologies, Siemens, I-flex, Synteland others. Educational institutes in the vicinity are Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, TheLaw College, Institute of Management Research & Development to name a few.

    The site is located at a distance of approximately 6 km. from the Pune Railway Station, 12 km. fromthe Airport and 8.5 km from Mumbai-Pune Expressway.

    ICC Trade Tower

    The concept of intelligent buildings is at the heart of the ICC Trade Towers both in design and inimplementation. It revolves around the 'brain', which is one of the most sophisticated control roomsfound in any commercial premises - using cutting edge technology. From swipe cards for entry/exit(both occupants and visitors), to fire detectors, dual grid electrical supply areas (external andinternal), generators (back-up), elevators (with several built-in features), CCTV, water supply,intercom, parking access, cooling towers. The 'brain' sees it all, and is a one-stop monitoring andcontrol point.

    SL Kirloskar Convention Centre

    An exhibition or trade show is generally defined as, "A temporary, time-sensitive marketplace ...where buyers and sellers interact, for the express purpose of purchasing displayed goods or service... " The proposed convention centre would be the hub of hospitality, business, and entertainment- a flawless fusion of the Classic and the Contemporary.The basic concept of the Family Entertainment Centre (FEC) is to provide residents of the city withcomprehensive entertainment facilities. It is intended that the FEC will cater to the needs of theentire city, and is not exclusively targeted at the residents of Senapati Bapat Road or neighboringarea.

    Built to international standards, and adapted to Indian tastes and conditions, FEC takes intoaccount the creation of a destination where each element complements the other.Adjoining the centre, an ultra modern five-star hotel, with 200-odd rooms is planned, andattached to it there will be service apartments, a fitness centre, swimming pool, essentialshopping area, and three restaurants, an exclusive bar lounge, multi-function halls,conference halls etc. ICC is entrusting the construction and management of the FEC toprofessional mall managers, who will be responsible for its upkeep, cleanliness, hygieneand security, and also manage the retail space within the mall.

    The SL Kirloskar Convention Centre would be the hub of hospitality, Business and Entertainment. Aflawless fusion of the classic and contemporary.

    International Convention Centre has devoted an entire building complex to meet the growingrequirements of 'new age' business - especially global IT enterprises. Its 2 office towers of 150,000sq. ft. and 170,000 sq. ft. each comprise of large floor plates scaling 22,000 sq ft each floor.
