• The following scenario will be used throughout the workshop.

• You will act as Dangerous Goods Inspectors of the Fantasia Island Civil Aviation Authority (FICAA).

• You will always have to take in consideration the State and Operator’s variations associated with Fantasia Island.

• 112. General Requirements

–112.1 A person who handles, offers for transport or transports dangerous goods by aircraft within Fantasia Island or between Fantasia Island and another State must do so in accordance with the ICAO Technical Instructions and these Regulations.

• Fantasia Island Air Regulations (FIAR)• 114. Issuance or Refusal of a Permit

for Equivalent Level of Safety–114.2 The Minister may issue a permit

for equivalent level of safety if the Minister is satisfied that the activity authorized by the permit will be conducted in a manner that will provide a level of safety at least equivalent to that provided by these Regulations.

the presence and under the direct supervision of a person who is adequately trained.

State Variations of Fantasia Island

• XX-01 Dangerous goods requiring approval under Special Provisions A1 or A2 of the Technical Instructions may only be carried on a passenger aircraft in Fantasia Island territory with the permission of the Fantasia Island Civil Aviation Authority (FICAA).

• Applications for permission should be lodged with FICAA at least ten days prior to the proposed flight.
