Next steps for the Expedited Policy Development Process (EPDP) on the Temporary Specification for gTLD Registration Data:

• GNSO Council will vote on the Phase One Final Report 4 March 2019

• Planning for Phase Two will begin at ICANN64 • Phase Two will include difficult questions about access to non-

public registrant data for third parties with legitimate interests (e.g. law enforcement, security research, intellectual property interests)

• Phase Two is expected to include development of a system for Standardized Access to Non-Public Registration Data

New gTLD Subsequent Procedures PDP Working Group - will continue to review community input on the preliminary policy recommendations in its various Initial Reports (including Work Track 5 on Geographic Names as Top Level Domains)

Review of All Rights Protection Mechanisms (RPMs) in All gTLDs PDP Working Group - will start developing potential policy and operational recommendations for Sunrise and Trademark Claims services (Phase One reviews the RPMs developed for the 2012 New gTLD Program)

International Governmental Organization and International Non-Governmental Organization (IGO-INGO) Access to Curative Rights Protection Mechanisms PDP Working Group - Final Report to the GNSO Council is under consideration

PDP 3.0 – a major initiative focusing on potential changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the GNSO policy process
