• A Pilot Substation Automation Project was designed

• Execution of PLC based project requires 20% less time

than conventional station. Hence less supervision cost.

• At least 10% less man-hours for protection and substation

commissioning.

• PLC based substation is requires 40% less space.

• It requires only 10% control cable in comparison to

conventional substation.

• It requires no trenches and no steel trays for control cable.
