If you want to laugh until you cry, dance until your feet burn (to guilty pleasure tunes)

and, hopefully, screech “BINGO!” in order to win a stunning prize (it could be a bottle

of booze… it could be an Ainsley Harriott cardboard cut-out. Both highly sought-after

trophies, let’s be honest), then Bongo’s Bingo, every Tuesday night, at Eden is the place

to be. You’ll play the actual legitimate game, climb on tables and round your night off

with a performance from noughties heroes, So Solid Crew. Definitely one to add to

your Ibiza bucket list.

The ultimate party laden with carnival vibes (think confetti canons, ravers bopping

about on stilts within the crowd and merrymaking professionals hanging from gigantic

props attached to the ceiling) can be found courtesy of Elrow, who’ve taken up a

Saturday residency at mega club Amnesia for the duration of this season. Expect

mood-boosting tracks all night long, spun by everyone from Groove Armada to Eats

Everything, whacky scientists whipping up cocktails at the Absolut bar and an all-

round general sense of merriment until dawn. Definitely not one to be missed (and if

you don’t make it to the Ibiza sessions, check out the latest Elrow events taking place

in the UK – every good raver worth their salt should experience it at least once).

FLASH AT PIKES HOTEL, SAN ANTONIO

There’s nowhere on this planet quite like Pikes Hotel. Yup, the 500-year-old

farmhouse and setting to Wham’s infamous Club Tropicana video, is mecca for those

seeking a crazy, camp, topsy-turvy, anything goes sort of night. We recommend Flash

Presents (taking place monthly from now until October), which features a whole host

of characters – both on and off the decks – and perpetuates a happy, shiny message of

inclusivity. As founder of the night, Guy Williams, himself said, “We’re creating a safe

space for all the misfits to come together – gay, straight, don't knows, don't cares! We

are all welcome here.” Another tip? Book yourself in for one of Pikes’ hangover-

absorbing, much celebrated roast dinners too (seriously, thank us later).

ANTS AT USHUAÏA, PLAYA D’EN BOSSA

Pronounced ‘ush-wire’ (we think/hope), this night is one for house and techno fans –

the premise behind this party is that ants have hacked the system and taken over with

their rhythmic beats. Expect fireworks, actual fire and a crowd wearing predominantly

black (like ants, duh). The perfect pre-drinking affair before Elrow, if we do say so

ourselves.

APARTAMENTOS PANORAMIC, IBIZA TOWN

If you’re looking for a clean place with a pool (which does the best poolside pizza)

that’s not going to break the bank (hey, we never said Ibiza would be cheap!) then

Apartamentos Panoramic did the job for us quite nicely. It’s located in Ibiza Town,

under a ten-minute walk away from the Playa de Figueretas beach (where you can buy

tickets for boat trips to the nearby island of Formentera) and the reception staff are

super friendly. For a weeklong stay in one of their pool-facing rooms during peak

season, we paid €462pp (for a 3-person room). Nay too shabby.

Even if we sat and thought about it for 200 years, it’s still unlikely we’d be able to find

words worthy enough to describe the burrata, creamy courgette and lemon sauce

ravioli (€19) served in this gorgeous Mediterranean restaurant. If you can, ask to be

seated in the back garden, where you’ll share a meal under palm trees and fairy lights

and with the odd roaming kitten. The cocktails are great and the homemade croquettes

(€15 for 3) even better, so we advise trying as much of the menu as you can – then



walking it off by wandering the nearby boutiques, packed with homemade jewellery,

textiles and more.

LOCALS ONLY, IBIZA TOWN




In the heart of Ibiza Town’s bustling Plaza del Parque square, Locals Only is a great

place to quench your thirst and quash your hunger. All ingredients are locally sourced,



the avocado toast was the freshest we’ve had in yonks and the arancini was on point.

Oh and the spaghetti was *mimes kissing hand action to signify really bloody tasty*.

WHERE TO CHILL…SOL SETS ROOFTOP NINE BAR IBIZA, CALA DEBOU



It’d be a crime not spend at least one night during your stay in Ibiza on a rooftop,

watching the sun slink behind the horizon leaving a burnt orange trail in its wake, and




the rooftop above the Sol House Ibiza Hotel is more than equipped for that. Grab a

drink, order the smoked hummus with crudités and let Mother Nature do the rest. This

rooftop bar also offers free glittery face painting on a Monday (ideal if you’re heading

somewhere after which might call for such a look – and in Ibiza, that’s not unlikely).

BEACHOUSE, PLAYA D’EN BOSSA



This newly-refurbished and renovated beach club offers up a flavoursome rustic

Mediterranean menu and the weekday early morning Yoga classes (followed by a

heathy breakfast, complete with a zen-inducing view) are rumoured to be among the

best on the island – even better news is that the classes are pay-what-you-can, charity

donation based. The perfect pitstop between dancing, dining and destroying your

overdraft in the Pacha shop.

THERE’S MORE…∙ An absolute must do whilst staying in Ibiza is a boat trip to the neighbouring island of

Formentera. The white beaches there are straight out of heaven.






∙ Ibiza is more than known for its party scene, but the island’s shopping circuit

definitely shouldn’t go unrecognised either – Vicente Ganesha is the oldest store in

Ibiza Town, overflowing with gorgeous Indian designs, vintage pieces and boho

dresses that had us stop dead in the street (before rushing over saying “OH MY

GOD!”).

∙ Hire a car or make sure you factor in enough money for taxis everywhere into your

budget, buses aren’t quick and won’t be around to pick you up after you’ve downed

eight vodka and cokes and done the splits all over Eden’s dancefloor (just us? Oh…).
