OP Assessor Library

• OP Assessors are expected to read and have a reasonable working knowledge of several standards and industry documents relating to the ICOP scheme.– A reading list is contained in the next few slides.

• Standards are copyright protected and must be obtained through your IAQG member company resources.

• International Accreditation Forum (IAF) Documents can be downloaded (free) from the internet– IAF Mandatory documents

• OP Assessors are expected to obtain and maintain a personal standards library. – In compliance with IAQG Member requirements

Other Useful Information:

• ISO TC 176 is the ISO committee under which ISO 9001 is developed. On their website they have ISO 9001 Interpretations

• ISO TC 176 ISO 9001 Auditing Practices Group produce documents with advice on QMS auditing topics

• ISO Policy Committee for Conformity Assessment (ISO/CASCO) have an Accreditation Auditing Practices Group with guidance on Accreditation auditing topics

• IAQG Resolutions Log is available in the help and guidance section of OASIS at www.iaqg.org/oasis

• The IAQG have made available deployment support materials for different IAQG standards (including 9104-001 FAQ’s) at http://www.sae.org/iaqg/organization/requirements.htm

Next steps• Following completion of this pre-learning, you will need to:

– Send an e-mail to the person identified in your joining instructions to confirm that:

» You have completed the pre-learning, and

» Have obtained copies of all of the relevant standards.

– You must send your e-mail before you will be allowed to attend the face-to-face training.

» Failure to send your confirmation may result in exclusion from the class

– Attend the mandatory OP Assessor Sanctioned Training

• Any questions you have from your review of the pre-learning materials should be captured for discussion during the face-to-face training.

Next step – Face to Face Training• Course duration – 3 days, which will be part review of scheme

standards and key documents involved in the Oversight process and part practical application exercises to help re-enforce learning

• Class size will be 10 – 25 (max) of similar like minded, experienced industry representatives from different member companies across your Sector Management Structure (SMS)

• After the face-to-face training there is some post course learning which you will also need to complete

Next steps – Face to Face Training• Its not all fun though; there will be assessments at the end of

the face-face course and the post learning activity to verify your knowledge and to identify any areas for improvement– A certificate will then be issued, which is a pre-requisite for you to

be able to conduct Oversights

• Upon completion of this training you should feel much more confident of your role and responsibilities as an OP Assessor with a better understanding of the ICOP scheme requirements.

• The goal of this training is to deliver more consistent, effective and robust global Oversight across all 3 Sectors; with your help and commitment, we will achieve this!
