SHIFT MANAGER OCT 2008- OCT 2010 DHL Supply Chain – Early Learning Centre ContractWorking on the ELC contract, to lead and manage a team of 3 First Line Managers. Duties included, ensuring targets were exceeded and KPI’s were achieved on a daily basis. Responsible for all departments within the warehouse from Goods receipt through to Despatch. Responsible daily for up to 60 staff (FTE’s and agency staff), whilst operating to very tight KPI’s. Deputised for the Operations Manager role for 6 months.

SHIFT MANAGER MARCH 2002 - OCT 2008 DHL Supply Chain – Tesco ContractWorking for the Tesco contract, to lead and manage a team of 6 First Line Managers. Duties included, ensuring shift targets were exceeded and KPI’s were achieved on a daily basis. Responsible for all departments from Goods receipt through to despatch and liaising with the Transport department.. Responsible daily for up to 100 staff (FTE’s and agency staff), whilst operating to very tight KPI’s. I was also Shift Manager of the Transport department within the contract ensuring DOT kpi’s were met, and compliance adhered to. Tesco’s changed the product range from clothing to grocery from 2005 until it finished the contract in 2008, where I played an instrumental part in supporting staff to find alternative work within DHL or redundancy, taking the site to closure. FIRST LINE MANAGER JUNE 1999 – MARCH 2002DHL Supply Chain – C&A ContractWorking as an FLM for the C&A contract. This role included department planning, decision making and leading a team to ensure all KPI’s were achieved. Management reporting, staff reviews, training and development, liaising with all other departments within the depot ensured customer expectations were exceeded. The team consisted of 50+ personnel. By Standing in for Shift Manager on a regular basis being responsible for the overall shift, enabled me to be in a good position to take on the role when the opportunity arose.
