TASK
Imagine the flooring in your bedroom is lime lime greengreen and you HATE it. You need to convince your parents to replace it. Determine the cost of new carpeting or tile, and decide which one would be best in your room. Once you have all your information, write a letter to your parents with your choice. Use the facts to persuade them to give you a new floor.
PROCESS• Make a sketch of your bedroom on graph paper.• Measure your bedroom and fill in the dimensions• Convert your measurements to square feet and square yards.• Find out how much a square foot or square yard of carpet or tile
costs by visiting at least three web sites
• Complete the spreadsheet with the information required. You must include three prices including both carpeting and tile floor.
• Write the letter to your parents to persuade them to purchase your choice.
