Basic Keys
The iPod Touch has 4 keysPower/Sleep button hold down the button to turn power off. You will be prompted to slide power off. There is no need to turn power off while charging. A quick tap will put the iPod to sleep. (battery saver)
Volume keys turns all media volume up or down

Home Button can always be used to return to the original screen. May also be used to quickly exit an app
Home + Power push these two keys together to take a screen shot
Ipod Accessories
Each iPod Touch comes with the following:Charging adaptor used for charging on a dock
USB Cable cable must be plugged into iPod in order to charge or to sync music,video, apps, etc.
Ear buds plug into bottom right of iPod to listen to audio. **NOT INCLUDED:
ThumbTack brand of microphone that can be plugged into the bottom right of the iPod to record audio files.**not included
Basic Terms & Navigation
Important terminology for iPod TouchApp short for application. These will show up as icons on each page on the touch screen. Mini software
Dock any apparatus that allows the iPod to charge or play music via speakers
Sync When the iPod Touch is plugged into the computer, and iTunes is open the iPod can sync. In other words, items of your choosing are downloaded to the iPod.
Pinching manipulation of the screen to enlarge media or return to normal view. Done with thumb and index finger.
Basic Terms &Navigation
Landscape view turning the iPod sideways to change the formatting to view; some websites are easier to read in this manner. Also, the keyboard is easier to use.
Sliding sliding index finger left or right on screen to navigate pages on iPod or on the internet
