on January 4 at 8:30pm to January 5 at 7:30am. First Friday mass at 9 pm and Sat. mass at 7:00 am

Adoration du Très Saint Sacrement Le premier vendredi du mois, nous aurons l’adoration du Saint Sacrement dans la chapelle de jour entre 9h et 14h. Nous invitons tous nos paroissien(ne)s de venir passer du temps en prière vendredi le 4 janvier. Une feuille de présence sera en place, afin de nous assurer qu’il y aura toujours quelqu’un de présent avec Jésus.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament On the first Friday of the month, parishioners are invited to spend some quiet time in prayer before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Adoration will take place following morning mass in the day chapel, beginning at 9:00 am until 2:00 pm on January 4th. A sign-up sheet will ensure that someone will always be in prayer before the Lord.

Let us strive to imitate the Holy Family’s

mutual love and concern for one another.

By being born into a human family, the eternal Son of God has blessed every family, and so made marriage and family a pathway to holiness and eternal life. In the face of God’s ever-flowing generosity, highlighted for us today in the blessing of family life, we become aware of our human shortcomings and our need for God’s mercy and love.

Mary, the Holy Mother of God Mary receives the message of the angels through

the shepherds and she reflects on it in her heart. Mary reflected on what she heard. Other translations say that “she pondered what she heard,” which is more helpful. To ponder is not just to think about or reflect, but to feel the weight of something. Mary felt the weight of the shepherds’ message to her regarding her Son (foreshadowing the pain of the sword that would pierce her soul upon his death), and she embraced it and allowed it to become a part of her. We, too, can embrace God’s word in this way – feeling its weight and allowing it to truly become a part of us .
