Greenlight Grant Directions
2017 Application Due DatesMarch 1, June 1, September 1 and December 1 by 4:00 p.m.
Step 1: Download and complete the application Go to The Dayton Foundation’s website and download the Greenlight Grant application in Word. Your answers are limited to the space provided. Please note the character limit which includes words and
spaces. Applications that exceed the character limit will not be considered. Please use an 11 point font, and do not alter the format of the application. An electronic signature is acceptable. Please answer question 7.1 OR 7.2 and delete the page you do not use from the submitted application.
Step 2: Required Documentation AttachmentsPlease send the required documentation to Michelle Brown. You may send the documentation via one of the ways listed below:
Email attachments (.pdf documents to [email protected]), or; Mail to The Dayton Foundation, Grants and Programs Department, 40 N. Main Street, Suite 500, Dayton,
Ohio, 45423, (must be postmarked on the deadline date) or; Deliver to The Dayton Foundation located on the 5th floor of the Kettering Tower located at 40 N. Main
Street.
Required Documentation:1. IRS letter of determination 501(c)(3)2. One example of each of the following (if available):
a. Annual Report b. Organizational brochurec. Newsletter
3. Copy of most recent complete audit, including auditor’s notes. If the organization does not have an audit, then send most recent 990. If the organization does not have an audit, please complete an Audit Exemption Form and submit it with the application. The Audit Exemption Form can be found on The Dayton Foundation’s website or by contacting Michelle Brown to email the form to you.
4. IRS Form 9905. Copy of your organization’s diversity policy
Step 3: Application Submission Please email the completed application in Word format to Michelle Brown at [email protected]
by 4:00 p.m. on the deadline date. You will receive an email confirmation when your application has been successfully submitted. If there are additional questions about your application, staff will contact you. Once a decision has been made,
typically within two weeks, you will be contacted.
