I left the sea for a desert world:reflective sand in white washed sunI left the sea to find chalky bonesof the dead dinosaurs long-gone

They hide under pointy cactus spikesin a world without blue rain, above ripple dunes, the stars break the gloomOf the bronzy dusted plains

And for ten-thousand Arabian nightsthe gypsy girls whirl and singEmeralds glint and gold is silk,In the land of the Sultan Queen.

I left the sea so I wouldnt drownThe Ocean Lord is cruel. But across the diamond sand Ive found That the desert has its ghouls.

They writhe under Osiriss light Where mighty dinosaurs once reigned. And as the moon turns the desert world whiteI know theyll eat me away.

So I wander with the tumbleweedsand see far away a mirage of blueThough I left the sea shadows behind, I cant get rid of you.
