However, making sure that daily needs were met, and seeing to it that the brethren shared in all things, should not be seen as the only manner or form in which they shared. With respect to scripture, we can see that in deed the early church shared in all things of their life and daily walk with Christ. Upon the news of the failed deception perpetrated by Ananias and his wife Sapphira, the church shared in great fear (Acts 5:11). If we move just a bit further through the pages of history of the church, we see her sharing in persecution from Saul of Tarsus (Acts 8:3,4). Such persecution caused many to be scattered throughout the region. The brethren in Joppa suffered grief and tears when their beloved Dorcas died (Acts 9:39). So distraught were they, they sent for Peter to give them direction and aid during this time (Acts 9:38). We need not think, the church only suffered from fear, hardships, and sorrow. Their sharing extended to include many more facets of the Christian life. Acts 10:31, records the church throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were edified. They walked in the fear of the Lord, and the peace of the Holy Spirit. What a blessed thought for brethren to be able to share such riches among one another! To know peace among the brethren exists, because of a commitment to walk with the Lord. To be edified through the My brethren, look at the church today. Look to see if we are willing enough to share with one another in similar circumstances. Are we willing to admit openly when we are afraid, and confront those fears? When faced with persecution, which can take on various means, but still bring hurt to the church, are we willing to support one another? When it comes to our tears and grief, do we cry out to one another seeking help and comfort from those who share in our “like precious faith”? Likewise, do we make it known when prosperity and blessings are sent our way, in order that we might have our brethren rejoice with us? Do we seek peace, so that in our peace together we can be edified and comforted? As children of God, and the body of Christ, make it your prayer, daily, to fulfill the scripture of our union together. A union, which, I hope you know, says, “And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.” words and deeds done one to the other. And to share in the peace provided by the Holy Spirit, that comfort which comes only from above. Great riches were shared among God’s people.

“I Hope You Know”

Writing to Theophilus concerning the things, which Christ has granted unto the Apostles to say and do, we learn from the pen of Luke, the togetherness that the brethren of the 1st

century shared. From the time of Pentecost and beyond, we see the church gathering together daily from house to house (Acts 2:46). Concerning their physical needs, Acts 4 states they had all things in common (vs. 32). However, making sure that daily needs were met, and seeing to it that the brethren shared in all things, should not be seen as the only manner or form in which they shared. Wyatt Aydelott, Jared Brown, Weston Elkins, John Jacobs and

Jake Martin all did wonderful

jobs as well in their roles. Thanks to all the girls and parents who joined us

too. It is always a special time at Coble and we invite you to join us on December 31 when we

travel there next!

TRUNK OR TREAT WAS well, a treat! So many cars, so many people, so much candy and

Thanks to everyone for always making this a event that is looked forward to all year!

KEEP PRAYING FOR THE NEXT YOUTH

MINISTER… The youth deacons continue to narrow down the list and begin some interviews. Pray that

the right man and his family will come our way. Pray that the Youth Ministry will continue to be a

blessing to the youth of this church and community.

May we always be about the Lord’s work and bringing lost souls to Him. No matter the age, may

we each do all we can, as long as we can, as we always seek to… follow His path, -Craig

Sue Ann Loveless writes: “I want to thank you all for the birthday cards I received. I also want to say thank you to the Elders for their visit. I really enjoyed it.” “A Big Thank You” to the Special Bible Class members for hosting the Widows and Widowers luncheon. The food was delicious and a great time was had by all. How nice to be remembered in such a special way.” The Family of L.T. Aydelott writes: “The L.T. Aydelott family extends its appreciation to the Centerville Church and

surrounding community for all acts of kindness shown. His well-attended stay at Life Care of Centerville was blessed by those visiting and asking about him every week. The wind chimes given in his memory are much appreciated. Dad loved nature and its beauty. His funeral was well attended by Christian friends and service providers. His burial at Campground Cemetery was most memorable as a beautiful Bald Eagle circled over in four grand loops as his grave was completed just as if to say…. Well Done old friend.”
