There is No “I” in Team

This is a “TEAM” effort! Do not be afraid to ask your AE and/or GAD to help you:

1. Communicate with C.A.R. staff.

2. Prepare for outreaches at the local association and/or offices.

3. Set up an incentive program to encourage local staff to promote RAF.

Outreach Tips

When C.A.R. conducted a “focus group,” members were asked about why they did or did not make their RAF contribution. The answer heard nine times out of 10 was, “WE WERE NEVER ASKED.”

Outreach Tip: 101

First ask to be placed on the Agenda for the monthly meetings…The following “quick talking points” should get the ball rolling for every meeting:

•Tell your fellow REALTORS® how much money their association raised the previous year and periodically update your progress throughout the year. Be sure to thank all those who have contributed to RAF throughout the entire year!•Announce the association’s RAF goal and ask for their help in achieving that goal.•Provide RAF relevant materials and explain the importance of that piece.

Why Should REALTORS® Contribute?

They get a terrific return on their $197 investment:

• C.A.R.’s legislative successes, saved members’ about $12,977 in 2007.

• Every year in Sacramento, legislation is introduced that threatens your ability to serve clients and sell real estate.
