    Let me start off by saying thank you ~or all the support I have receivedfor the past year and for re-electing me as president. Jlections 'vere held inJune and as you see abcve we have a new executive.

    The executive was quite busy over the sununer months, and we have a goodstart on this years activities. The club is sponsoring code and theory classesand I would like to extend a warm welcome to our new members. Welcome to thewonderful world of Ham Radiol

    At the September meeting, a few changes to the constitution will be t~bled.The changes are noted elsewhere in this issue. Please look them over and ifyou have any comments, pro and can, plp..3se attend the meetine!

    This will probably be the last mailed issue for in-toNn club members.Skip, VE3BBS is working on a mail-box for us, to be located in the club roomat the N~O Building. We will put your copy in the mail-box as soon as wereceive it (hopefully a week before the me~ting). During regular businesshours, you can see Andrea for the key to the Club Room. If you have notpicked up your copy by -./londay after the meeting, it will be mailed to you.For out of town members, your Ht-0 will be mailed when we r8ceive it. Upc-oming meetings will beannounced on the Salt ~t.ine Net. the "'TS":'1'1 message will be activaten on TBR,and we (the executive) are working on a phone cOTIll'nittee. If you wish to becalled prior to the meeting, we will have a sheet at the meeting.

    At the ~eptember fleeting, Hob vS30PZ will be g~vlng a deflonstration onpacket radio. It is a computer to computer communication mode, and shows alot of promise in the future. '1'his is your chance for a first hand demonstra-tion and to have your questions about packet rariio answered.

    Vic, VE3SCV and Laurie VE3BCD are looking after presentations at themeetings. If you have any ideas for a future presentation, tour or demon-stration give them a call.

    Are you interested in an rtdvanced theory class? If classes are held,they vTould cover the theory portion ani the ON is left to you. After all,1.5 W.A. M. should be a piece of cake! If you are interested, give Les VE3.TA,TA Call.

    A Repeater Committee meeting will be helo prior to the regular meeting,Unfortunately, there will not be enough time for a summary for T-TI-Q, but areport will be tabled at the meeting. ~he cluhs repeaters are the backboneof our emergency And public servicG communications and if you would like toSGe what is planned, attend the meeting. A few changes were made to VE3TBRand more details appear elsewhere.
