But now let us turn to the greatest of authorities namely, the encyclopedias. Again and again theyinsist that only highly educatedpeople with academic training arecapable of deal ing with Bri t ish-Israel truth. In other words, it isnot for the common people. Theyare considered incapable of understanding. How different to theministry of our Lord. The commonpeople heard Him gladly.

But now, if the British-Israelitesreally want the opinion of scholars, the greatest scholars and theologians, they are available. If theyreally are sincere in their statement that only the highly trainedintelligensia are capable of discussing the subject, then they willlisten to what the encyclopediashave to say.

Wi th

heaven and earth banished anddissolved to nothingness (Rev. 20:11), this man would have us believe that the unsaved are "resurrected to mortal life" in a kind ofreincarnation that is meaninglesswhen there is no heaven nor earthleft for their habitation. However, this "resurrection unto damnation"of which Jesus spoke is not achance for salvation; neither is ita resurrection to "mortal life," norlife in the flesh, but to a life inbodies fitted for eternal tormentin a l i te ra l he l l . and to the 70. The instructionswere not only as to the mannerin which they were to go (by twos, without purse, staff, food, or extraclothing); they were told to whomto go (the lost sheep of Israel, theJews); and they were told what todo (Preach the kingdom of Heavenis at hand, heal, raise the dead, cast out dev i ls ) . The seventy wereto go "whither He himself wouldcome" . We know tha t Ch r i sPsministry was to the Jew only,—Matt. 15:24, "I am not sent butunto the lost sheep of the houseo f I s r a e l . "

Do the Jesus Way min is te rstruly follow Jesus' way? Do theypreach to the Jews only? Do theyheal the sick, raise the dead, casto u t d e v i l s ?

As to Organization they claim,"We are organized under the planof the New Testament." This statement is so indefinte as to be insignificant. We are not told definite details of the organization ofChrist's followers, and of the earlyChristian churches. We know therewas a type of organization. Theapostles at Jerusalem called ameeting of the disciples to set upa relief plan for taking care of theneedy women and children in theChristian homes (Acts 6:1-6). AfterPaul returned to Antioch from hismissionary pourney into Asia Minor, he and Barnabas and someothers were sent as a committeeto consult with the Council at Jerusalem regarding the question ofrequiring the Gentile converts tobe circumcised. They secured aformal statement from the Councilwhich they took back to thechurches at Antioch and in AsiaMinor (Acts 15:22-29). Paul, as adviser, gave definite instructions asto what the church should do withrespect to misconduct on the partof members (I Cor. 5: 1-13). So we

know there must have been a rat h e r d e fi n i t e a n d c o m p l e t e s e t - u pof Organization, although detailsa re no t g i ven .

The Cooneyites seem to beafraid of organization; perhaps because they have seen corruptionin other religious groups. SinceAdam, man has had a sinful nature. It matters not whether he isin or out of an organization. Whenlarge numbers make-up a group,it is not surprising that some ofthis evil nature is manifest. Shallwe refuse to have civil organization (city, state, and national), b^cause corruption will appear? Paultold the churches what to do aboutthe corruption. They were to dealwith it, or remove the guilty ones. The function of the church is tohelp people live more righteouslyday by day, and perform other services, impossible by the individual

R E L I A B I L I T Y O F T H E I RTEACHINGS: (a) Their teachingsinvolve mis-application of scripture, e.g., — In the model sermonsent us, reference is made to theoft quoted yule-tide passage of Isa.9:6, "—and the government shall beupon His shoulders." The writersays in his sermon, "That verseshows how men can have forgiveness of sin, instruction in the wayof righteousness, and guidance inthe Path of Life. It is when theyare wil l ing to place the government of their lives upon Him asKing of Kings and Lord of Lords."It is plainly evident that the verseis wrongly applied. There is nob a s i s f o r s u c h s t a t e m e n t s . F r o mwhat is stated here and what follows in the sermon, it is clear thatthis preacher is implying that thegovernment, here referred to, isChrist's rule over the lives of surrendered ind iv idua ls here and now,r a t h e r t h a n C h r i s t ' s r e i g n u p o nthe earth during the mil lennium,

There iswide disagreement among them onvital teachings, pertaining to theAtonement, Baptism and requirements for salvat ion. This is due tothe fact that there is no one amongthem who is a recognized authority on interpretation of scripture, and a lso due to the fact that theyhave no periodicals by means ofwhich they can d is t r ibute the i rteachings. Pertmnt Qucst'ms and MswersBy "Pastor Mac" of Spiritual Clinic,

and Pastor of Powdcrhom Park Baptist Church, MinneapolisQuestion—I have heard ministers speak of the apostasy that shall come

upon the earth in the last days. Just what is apostasy?Answer—It would be well for you to make a careful study of the bookof Jude. This is the only book in the Bible that is entirely devoted tothe great apostasy" which is to come upon Christendom before the LordJesus Christ returns. One great Bible teacher said that the theme ofJude should be called "The Acts of the Apostates."

Apostasy is not to be confused with mere indifference to the Wordof God, nor to error or heresy. An apostate has received light, but notlife. He may have received, in some degree, the written Word; but hehas not received the Living Word. Jude gives three clear marks of anapostate: ungodly (he is simply without God) — a perverter (he pervertsthe grace of God into lasciviousness or uses the grace of God as an excuse for sin) — a denier (he denies the ONLY Lord God or he doesnot believe that Christ is the ONLY way to God as Jesus said in John1 4 : 6 ) . . ^ .

Although apostasy is found primarily within the pale of professmgChristianity (that means that you would look for it within the professingChurch — the pulpit — Christian schools, etc.) yet, according to thesethree marks given by Jude no true Christian could be an apostate. Infact, Jude closes his little book with a word of comfort and assuranceto the believer that the child of God will be kept from falling intoapostasy! (Note verses 24 and 25).
