Terms and Conditions
NOTIFICATION PRIOR TO SCANNING: A minimum of two weeks notice is
required.
COMMERCIAL RATES:
· Confidential holes require a letter obtaining permission to
scan core from owner to accompany this request.
· Level-1 data will be provided to the company delegate listed
above. Processing is limited to depth logging and quality control
enabling the data to be viewed in TSG Viewer.
· For diamond core the cost will be $15.00 per metre with a
minimum charge of $500/ per day.
· For chip trays the cost will be $60.00 per tray
· Company must transport and prepare core and chip trays in an
absolutely dry and clean state ready for scanning prior to
commencement date.
UNIVERSITY USE:
· External use by universities will be permitted provided it
represents “research of geological merit” and does not adversely
affect the priorities of the Geological Survey of SA.
DEFINITION OF “GEOLOGICAL MERIT”:
· Is part of DEM scanning priorities?
· The Geological Survey considers that the interpreted data will
be of significant use to others and will
improve the geological understanding of South Australia.
· It is also expected that interpreted data will be included in
peer-reviewed publications.
CORE PREPARATION:
· Prior to scanning commercial core must be prepared in the
following fashion.
· Cleaning and drying of core and trays to remove debris and
potential contaminants.
· Core must be delivered absolutely dry to be accepted for
scanning.
· Stacking of pallets to that they may be loaded onto the
HyLogger in the correct sequence.
CUTTINGS/ CHIPS:
· Maximum of one drill hole’s samples per chip tray.
· Chips must be dry prior to scanning.
MINIMUM TRANSACTION FEE:
· A minimum transaction fee of $500.00 for core and $60.00 for
chip trays will be charged regardless of number of samples
requested for scanning.
STORAGE MEDIA:
· The delegate making the request must supply media for storage/
transfer of data.
· USB compatible devices are recommended.
· A minimum of 1GB per hole is also recommended (depending upon
data being scanned).
