Re enacting 1066!

• In 1066 William of Normandy AND Harold Hardrada of Norway invaded England to fight against Harold Godwinson! Both believing they should be the King of England!

• We are going to re enact the battles of that year and try decide the chronology of events and explain why William became King!

Written work!

• On your own map of England you are gong to show how the year ended with William as King!

1) Draw an arrow to show the journey of first invader (person to come to try and get the throne)

2) Add his name and what happened and where on and around your map

3) Now add arrows to show Harold Godwinson’s journey and describe what happened to him!

4) Finally do the same for William.5) Put dates where they belong on the arrows and map!
