You’ve probably heard about children growing up on their parents’ businesses’ floors and it’s absolutely true because that’s what happened to Tom.

Currently one of our Sydney based managers (and Pieter’s eldest), Tom had to work his way up through the business just like everyone else.

Part of his mission includes looking after IT and the Team Medical website and that’s a big ask of someone who is also doing a Bachelor of Business Management, as well as regular travel between our Sydney, Brisbane and Perth warehouses.

It’s just as well that Tom loves to bring in new knowledge because if Team aren’t moving forward then it means we’ve been left behind. In the areas of IT particularly, there are continuous opportunities to align with customer requirements and tailor systems so seamlessly that our beloved doctors, nurses and practice managers will have more time to do what they like best.

It’s not surprising then, that Tom’s interests include time management and how to help people, operations and infrastructure align better and more efficiently. The tertiary education sector is at the forefront of worlds’ best practise and Tom enjoys passing on the latest techniques and watching people grow.
