EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
HUSYS is a HR Function Management Company focusing on building HR Departments for Start-
ups, Small & Medium businesses. The organizations main aim is to streamline the change
companies go through during their growth phase addressing key HR challenges in a customized
way. Husys strives for the client Business Excellence. It is a very young organization with 27 yearsof average age with more than 300 years of collective experience. Their effort is to enhance the
capabilities of businesses in utilizing the most important Human Resource. We have been serving
more than 15 different Industries with an ability to bring cross-Industry best practices for
business success.
Presently Husys is launching 2 online products i.e. ApHusysand Orgvey. ApHusys is a Human
Resource Management System developed by Husys Consulting Service Pvt. Limited to manage
and maintain HR operations across different industry specific domains. It is a complete online
solution focusing on key HR areas such as defining organizational hierarchy, attendance
management, Payroll process and administration, Employee Data Management, CompleteEmployee Self-service etc. On the other hand, Orgvey is an employee engagement survey tool
which helps organizations conducting employee engagement survey based on 5 key areas which
are Conditions, Contributions, Relations, Opportunities and strategic content. The company also
planned to help organizations come up with a solution based on the survey result.
The objective of the project was to launch these two products successfully. The whole project
was broadly divided into 3 phases. In first phase, a detailed competitor analysis was carried out
focusing on current HR management systems present in the market with an emphasis on their
offerings. Also based on Key HR functionalities, a study was carried out to identify specific HR
management products serving in those domains. In the second phase a survey was carried out tounderstand the small and medium enterprises attitude towards HR management software. A
questionnaire was sent to CEOs and HR managers in number of small and medium enterprises
and based on their response an analysis was carried out. In the third phase, detailed workflows
of both the tools were created in order to have a better understanding and also to prepare sales
pitch. Based on these workflows, brochures and presentations were created for these two
products.

INTRODUCTION:

About Husys:
Husys, a Human Resource Management Company which has been in the industry for more than
13 years now, with offices located in the major metropolitans across India. Husys has served
400+ mandated client engagement across 15 industry segments.
Husys offers its expertise in the areas of HR Function Management, Training and
Development, Payroll / AMS, HRIS and HR Consulting Advisory Services in the areas of Culture,
Talent and Capability building activities. Husys aims to ensure that business processes are run
optimally while building and managing people related initiatives.
Key to both of the services is their proprietary Organized to Deliver (OTD)framework, where
they have an Associate Consultant with professional qualification in the subject area deployed
at the client office to define, implement and manage all front-end deliverables. The onsite team
is supported with an Anchor Consultant and Practice Area Specialists and the overall delivery
management is done by a Delivery Head. Where needed the team also draws on the expertise of
the Leadership team for all aspects of design of programs.
Besides these they are also launching two online products. These are Aphusys, an online HR

2. Management Problem:Husys Consulting Services Pvt. Limited is presently launching two new products which are ApHusys, an
HR Management tool and Orgvey, an Organization Survey tool. But since it cater to only small and
medium enterprises, the scope of these tools are not well defined. Also the present perception of these
organizations towards these tools needs to be understood.
Also since there are a number of prevalent tolls available for HR management a thorough competitor
analysis needs to be made to understand the scope and market potential of these tools. Apart from
being an HR management tool, the current management objective is to use ApHusys as a platform
where ApHusys can be associated with other online management products as per clients requirement.
As a result, there is a need for understanding the current e-commerce platforms for HR Management
systems.
The third problem is the proper understanding and documentation of the workflows of ApHusys and
Orgvey so that sales presentations and brochures can be made accordingly. So in depth analysis of these
two tools are required to understand the workflow.
3. Research Objective:

Analysis of HR e-commerce platform.
Understanding the consumer behavior towards HR management system and organization
survey tool
Understanding the workflows of ApHusys and Orgvey to prepare sales presentation and
brochures.
4. Limitations:
Since there was no existing documentation for these project, everything was to be prepared
from scratch.
To understand the consumer behavior the questionnaire was sent to the CEOs of differentorganization but due to shortage of time and reluctance of organizations to fill up the survey
only 14 responses were recorded.

5. Competitor Analysis:Competitor analysis was done in two steps. First key HR functional areas were identified for which there

6. Exploratory Research
6.1. Questionnaire Design:
With the objectives and discussion with external guide, a preliminary questionnaire was made and
administered to the respondents. Based on their responses, changes were made to the questionnaire
and final questionnaire was then administered. While making questionnaire, few things were kept in
mind.
The questionnaire was targeted at CEOs and HR managers of small and medium enterprises and
as a result formal mail was sent to companies asking for their response.
Since there was no motivation from the companies to fill this survey, an additional offer was
also made that free HR Management tool was to be provided on successful filling of these
survey for the companies currently not having any HRIS. For the companies already having HRIS,free ESS module was to be provided for free for up to 50 employees.
The questionnaire was designed differently for companies already having an HRIS and
companies not having an HRIS.
The survey has both questions with scales and textboxes to have a better understanding of
companys attitude towards HR management system.
Google form was created with the questionnaire and was distributed through email, official
Facebook and LinkedIn pages of Husys Consulting Pvt. Limited.
6.2. The questionnaire:
Initial part of the questionnaire was same for both type of companies. It was designed to get the
company details so that they can be pursued later.

plays a major role while buying HR management system. So all these factors should be taken care of
while launching a new HRIS.
To understand how customers bought their HRIS, a survey was carried out and given below are the

Both these responses strongly establishes the fact that organizations prefer to buy HRIS only after direct
interaction and hence the need to prepare a strong sales presentation is highly required rather than
selling it via existing e-commerce platforms.
7.2. Integration with 3rdparty Services:
Since Husys also plans to use ApHusys as a platform to integrate with other 3rd
party service providers,few other services like recruitment support, medical insurance, training and development and
psychometric tools were also analyzed to investigate the feasibility of collaboration. Given below are the
results.

This clearly shows that integration with job portals like Naukri.com would be beneficial for
better client satisfaction.

hence integrating ApHusys with any online psychometric tool would be beneficial.
8. Understanding the Business flow:

As a part of the project, the end to end business process flow was needed to be captured for ApHusys.
In order to do so first of all the key functional areas were identified.
For an HRIS tool the key business areas were

Also there was a need to configure each of these functionalities to configure and customize according to
an organizations need. Apart from that other functionalities include

9. Conclusion
Through the project it was strongly established that even small and medium enterprises require HR
management system to run their day to day HR operations. As a result, a simple tool like ApHusys wouldbe very effective. Furthermore, since the organizations require a comprehensive employee engagement
survey, the Orgvey tool can fill up this void.
To ensure effectiveness of these two products, effective online support is required. This should be
accompanied by sales presentation with detailed understanding of business process flow and interaction
with small and medium enterprises.
To achieve these, business presentation and brochures were prepared for both ApHusys and Orgvey. In
addition to it, online advertising was carried out through Google Ad words. This will help Husys to
effectively promote their products and make both the products a success.
