HURRICANE SANDY DISASTER RELIEF PROPOSALBy: Scott CSS Charity

    11/03/2012

WHAT? A once in a century storm event occurred over the Atlantic ocean(maybe we

should pay attention to Globalwarming?) Its a result of a smashed up between a

hurricane named Sandy and a cold storm pushing in from the west to form one of thebiggest and deadliest hurricane ever known in history. At the peak of the hurricane, imagine a 900 miles storm with devastating wind up to 90mph. Hurricane Sandy

contributed to more than 180 deaths from Jamaica ,Cuba and onward to the east coast ofthe United States. It knocked out electricity to more than 7,500,000 homes, businesses.

The storm flooded streets, subway stations, parks, homes, and airports. Millions are leftwithout power, foods, water, and basic sanitation. Many people used to come home and

have dinner with their loved ones will now have to seek shelter elsewhere. Many placesthat we take for granted such as parks, beaches, playgrounds.are now deserted marsh-

land with water up to 24 inches.
